Key Objectives of the Role

To define and drive sustainability strategy of the total brand, creating clear roadmap and implementing it to the entire brand execution.
Co-lead the entire corporate sustainability innovation including execution through Sun Care and/or WASO (clean beauty line targeted for GenZ) lines.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Co-work with the brand sustainability leader to define the brand’s sustainability strategy incorporating consumer insights and market trends
  • Work closely with GIC & corporate functions to drive short to midterm sustainability innovation
  • Under the direction of the manager, track and govern the entire brand portfolio to meet the industrial regulations/sustainability business standards
  • 360 integrated marketing mix development with full responsibility based on consumer learning process and PDCA cycle, of the responsible product line
    • Plan and execute consumer learnings
    • Analyze the market & consumer panels for insight
    • Product & promotion concept building
    • Orchestrate product development process
    • Direct creative production process due to business objective
  • P&L development of the responsible product line
  • Communicate with the regional headquarters on a daily basis to align on the midterm strategy, marketing mix and go-to-market strategy
  • Be the lead and hub of the co-creation with US/EMEA/Sephora for the relation establishment

 

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Basic communication skills in both Japanese & English
  • Proficient skill with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Minimum 5years of marketing or brand management experience

 

Desired Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of marketing/beauty brand management experience in beauty
  • In-depth industry knowledge, including product development expertise in skincare
  • Experience working on sustainability related project and has depth understanding for the topic
  • Team oriented with ability to interact with partners across organization at all levels
  • Passionate, creative thinker with ability to brainstorm new approaches or ideas
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to move between quantitative analytics and marketing creativity
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically in different situations with strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to show initiative to drive results and solve problems and always be counted on to follow-through
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity working with global information databases such as NPD, Datamonitor, Euromonitor, and Mintel
