Digital Transformation Office (DTO), the team established in Shiseido HQ in Tokyo Japan, is the team that works on transforming and accelerating Shiseido on its journey to become a digital business.  The team also oversees the enterprise-wide strategy across beauty tech, consumer engagement, data management, e-commerce and digital marketing. The DTO’s mission is to put data in the heart of our marketing and technology development, and to grow Shiseido as “No.1 data driven beauty powerhouse” creating the next generation of Skin Beauty.

The DTO Program Manager will be responsible for driving the successful adoption and growing the use and value of the tech stack developed across brands and marketplaces, by addressing the human factors required to reach Shiseido’s strategic objectives, including our ways of working, talent know-how, workforce gaps, accessibility to data and tech stack. This includes formulating programs to drive adoption, usage, training, communications, business reviews, organization design and governance.

Key Duties  (Process)  / 主な職務内容


End-to-End Program Lifecycle Management

  • Develop catalogue and upkeep of portfolio of DTO programs, functionalities and tools.
  • Design, develop, and implement programs and plans for DTO portfolio including stakeholder assessment, plan implementation/execution, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, capability transfer, and end-user training.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams, including engineering, IT, brands, regions, HR to ensure cross-functional value is delivered as the enterprise evolves.
  • Drive rapid and value-added consensus in a complex, highly cross functional environment.
  • Design and implement continuous feedback capture and improvements with process, tools, and systems to address the needs of customers and business.


Program Adoption and Change Management

  • Facilitate adoption and change management activities with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand and ensure adoption of technology program. 
  • Perform stakeholder analysis to understand barriers to adoption and usage and/or change; identify risks and implement mitigation plans.  


Stakeholder Communication and Reporting

  • Manage and execute communication to all stakeholder groups.
  • Develop and execute the global communication plan for the DTO initiatives portfolio.
  • Collaborate with teams to establish and implement measures of performance and success including short and long-term goals, KPIs, and objectives.
  • Performs methodical data analysis and insights to underpin all recommendations; able to explain and justify rationale.
  • Conduct regular business review including analysis and reporting on programs, communicating program performance, risks, opportunities and options to stakeholders.

     Preferred Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the following:
    • IoTs
    • Image processing, augmented reality, machine learning
    • Cloud based technologies vs. on premise solutions
  • Working experience in Agile environment and Design Thinking methodology
  • Direct experience with biopharma manufacturing operations and business processes, with technical understanding of manufacturing plants




Qualification, Education, Experiences etc. / 資格・教育・経験等 


     Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years Program Management and/or Change Management experience.
  • Minimum 3-5-year experience working in consumer e-Commerce space.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical, business or communications discipline 
  • Experience in consumer information technology.   

       Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on e-commerce or CRM platforms including Salesforce suite of products.
  • Understanding of global digital commerce ecosystems including Japan, China, United States and EU.
  • PMP certification.
