Purpose/Mission of the Position (Output) / 職務の目的・ミッション


The Shiseido Group has established the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) in HQ Tokyo, Japan. 
The DTO’s mission is to transform and accelerate Shiseido on its journey to become a digital business and will oversee the enterprise-wide strategy across beauty tech, consumer engagement, data management, ecommerce and digital marketing. The DTO’s mission is to is to put data in the heart of our marketing and technology development.  Shiseido will become a data driven beauty powerhouse creating the next generation of Skin Beauty.

The SHISEIDO+ Digital Academy, Manager, is primarily responsible for managing the end to end operations, building global awareness around the services of the SHISEIDO+ Digital Academy to internal employees, driving student registrations & engagement, brand & content development/management, and the teams that support the delivery of projects.   S/He is supported by an extended team to deliver. 

An ancillary unit of the DTO, the SHISEIDO+ Digital Academy was created to transform Shiseido’s organization and talent, so as to effectively deliver impact on Digital Transformation programs. This includes workforce transformation, knowledge and skills development, culture change, impact assessment, and change communications.   We do this through a series of programs including content, certifications, masterclasses, workshops, summits, advisories, and employee engagement activities, and in collaboration with the Talent & Development teams around the world. 

The candidate is a quick study, passionate about beauty, shaping the Future of Work with digital, and an advocate for leveraging technology to support smart work. He/She/They are tech literate/curious, fluent in data and digital, a self-starter, highly organized with strong attention to details, and an excellent communicator. A skilled multitasker, s/he/they are adept at project and team management, engagement marketing and navigating around self-service software. 


Roles & Responsibilities(業務内容)



•    Manage/coordinate with vendors and other third-parties on project deliverables, on time and on budget
•    Manage the operations and logistics for all projects and programs, leveraging support from vendors and intern 
•    Employee student database maintenance & program analysis
•    Manage and provide quality customer service for SHISEIDO+
•    Program feedback solicitation, data analysis and reporting
•    Own and manage operational tech stack used to run the Academy (ie. Mailchimp, Sharepoint, Teams, Typeform, Wix)
•    Library/vendor management


Engagement Marketing

•    Develop a communication program including the design, development, delivery of push/pull communications to engage stakeholders and employees
•    Manage student employee engagement programs 
•    Develop regular e-mail newsletter to mailing list



•    Lead & manage editorial content line-up & distribution across all channels (Webinars, briefs, masterclasses) 
•    Manage initiatives, projects and vendors to deliver on objectives on time and on budget 
•    SHISEIDO+ Digital Academy Hub:
•    Develop & manage site UX, data and content flow/structure 
•    Research new reading trends to add to the hub special content topics
•    Curate and/or develop content for publishing on the Hub
•    Be the “centerpoint” person for all things SHISEIDO+ hub
•    Author executive briefs and training webinars on key topics as and when needed
•    Intelligence Resource Library – Manage library offerings including cataloging new content regularly

•    Multifaceted understanding of the evolving digital, beauty and tech landscape, the importance of digital literacy, and skills required of the various functional pools to thrive in a digital-led business
•    Some experience with change management principles, methodologies and tools a plus

•    Marketing skills/experience a must since the primary performance measure of the role is registrations and engagement.

•    Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal and presentation skills

Qualification, Education, Experiences etc. / 資格・教育・経験等

•    Bachelor's Degree
•    6+ years of professional experience 
•    Previous digital marketing, e-Commerce, CRM experience a plus
•    HR L&D experience a plus


Other Requirements / その他の要件

•    English – Expert Level
•    Japanese &/or Chinese language fluency a strong plus
