Position Purpose
As Team Leader of Brand Marketing Group, the candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing cross-brand marketing strategies that elevate SHISEIDO’s brand desirability and meaning in the lives of consumers.
This role goes beyond franchise marketing—placing the candidate at the center of SHISEIDO’s master brand communication, sustainability storytelling, and seasonal big moment campaigns such as Holiday and Gifting.
The candidate will lead a large, agile team and work cross-functionally to conceptualize and activate integrated brand campaigns, strengthen our purpose-driven marketing agenda, and elevate consumer trial experience through thoughtful sampling strategies.
●Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Master Brand & Cross-Brand Campaigns
• Lead the strategic planning, creative development, and execution of brand-level campaigns that strengthen SHISEIDO’s equity across franchises and categories.
• Craft narratives that reinforce the brand’s Japanese heritage, innovation, and beauty philosophy, while ensuring cultural relevance and local resonance.
• Translate the global brand purpose into locally compelling campaigns that build emotional connection with consumers.
• Coordinate 360° activation planning across paid, owned, earned, in collaboration with regions.
Holiday & Gifting Campaign Leadership
• Develop and lead SHISEIDO’s annual Holiday and Gifting campaigns — a key consumer moment and revenue driver.
• Build holistic campaign concepts that combine brand storytelling, product heroing, and emotional gifting cues.
• Partner with product development, digital, social/PR and visual merchandising teams to deliver cohesive omni-channel execution.
• Drive consumer-centric planning: from packaging concepts, campaign messaging, to in-store activations and digital engagement.
Sustainability & Purpose-Led Marketing
• Drive sustainability narratives and initiatives that reflect SHISEIDO’s commitment to responsible beauty and innovation.
• Ensure that key campaigns (especially brand, holiday, and gifting) integrate sustainability principles — from material choices (e.g., packaging, POSM) to content framing.
POSM & Sampling Strategy
• Re-engineer cross-franchise sampling strategy to enhance effectiveness, data capture, and conversion across channels.
• Manage the development and production of samples that reflect the premium brand positioning while optimizing resource use and operational efficiency.
Cross-functional Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Build strong relationships with global/regional SHISEIDO teams, franchise leads, product development, business development, and creative team.
• Manage agency and vendor relationships to ensure timely, on-brand, and cost-effective campaign delivery.

Besides franchise marketing, brand SHISEIDO needs a dedicated team on master brand communication strategy development and brand-level marketing activations.
Mktg G4 will be leading and re-engineering overarching brand marketing strategy, brand campaign and brand-level campaign management, including big moments and sustainability to enhance the brand image and equity.
Together with the other Group Managers, there is great opportunity for the candiate to become the future leader as the successor of the MCX Vice President.
●Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in brand marketing or integrated communications, preferably within the beauty, fashion, or luxury sectors, with a least 5 years in a leadership position.
• Strong strategic thinking with proven ability to develop and lead brand-level initiatives.
• Solid project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with sustainability or purpose-driven marketing is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of POSM and retail marketing dynamics is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; basic Japanese is a plus.
