Global Professional Business Division at Shiseido develops products & services for professional beauty customers with most advanced technologies.
We innovate with new beauty techniques, technologies and offer new trends to the markets. Our brands are sold in Asia, such as Japan, China and APAC region.


■Overall description
As a HQ business Controller at Global Professional Business Division, the person in this position, who will be right hand of GM, takes full responsibility for the financial management of one or several of the regional affiliates.
The Controller works in a cross-functional team to develop annual budgets and financial forecast and make sure its execution through P&L and KPI monitoring and analysis.
The position also will ensure the regional affiliates keep operational stability and respect internal control at all times.


■Roles & Responsibilities
[HQ/Total Division]
Actual/ Budgeting/ Estimation
 ・Control HQ sales and OP
 ・Consolidate Division’s Global PL
 ・Report making for HQ Strategic Finance Department


[w/ RHQ/ Affiliates]
1. Strategy and Annual Budget Planning
 ・Work with RHQ/ local country GMs, Business Controllers and other relevant stakeholders to develop regional strategy in line with global strategy
 ・Help create annual budget plan and measurable KPIs
2. Business Controlling
 ・Support monitoring Regional business performance and KPI and interpret financial results to provide actionable insights and accurate forecast
 ・Propose solutions to meet the P&L targets (both top line sales and bottom line profitability) to Regional GMs and controllers
 ・Identify improvement opportunities and drive actions to maximize business growth and profitability
3. Operation Management
Ensure proper operation management at Regional business including:
 ・Accurate sales reporting and customer contract control (commercial conditions)
 ・COG & inventory control by adequate order forecast and order management
 ・Operational expenses and headcount control
 ・Services provided / purchased by local Shiseido entity and by third parties
 ・Standard Operating Procedures and manuals for sustainable and repeatable operations
4. Internal Control
 ・Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company rules at Regional business




■Must to have
・Extensive financial and business understanding, on local and international base
・Excellent knowledge of general business processes and market structures
・Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with internal stakeholders cross-company and team
・Proactive challenger attitude, high result oriented and solution thinker
・Ability to work under pressure and fluctuating deadlines
・Solid leadership experience, good team leader
・Fluent in Japanese and English mandatory
・+4 years of financial and / or business planning experience

・Better to have good understanding of all supply chain / operation topics with skill-set to control and drive implementation
