Roles & Responsibilities

 

Role: 

  • Sustainability Strategy Acceleration Department is newly set up in January 2022 aiming to lead and accelerate sustainability(both environment and social) initiatives through our business globally. 
  • The person in this position is expected to lead and manage global projects and key task force,  monitor the progress of actions to make our sustainability actions happen and instigate change through our business. (all actions for the acceleration are included)

 

Main areas of responsibility:

  • Manage global projects and key task force to implement end-to-end sustainability actions
  • Design necessary monitoring process and guidance that can deliver the progress
  • Monitor and track the progress vs disclosed strategy and actions
  • Develop and execute contents and plan of sustainability actions and manage projects by driving and collaborating with our internal/external key stakeholders (brand holders, regions and key functions) to implement actions
  • Nurture team members/juniors to be global talents 

 

 

Requirements

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to develop marketing/business strategies (not necessary sustainability areas)
  • Excellent/Proven Project management skills to work with people at different levels of seniority and from different cultural backgrounds(both internally, externally) and keep timeline for the delivery
  • Independent thinker with active self drive, outspoken even to share difficulties and challenges
  • Ability to communicate, write and understand English at business level
  • Strategic thinking

 
Desired qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in the brand marketing and/or corporate sector with a focus on sustainability issues, strategy, and/or reporting.
  • More than 3 years of Brand Marketing experience is a plus. 
  • Experience working in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geographies/international context.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work in a high-performing team environment, building relationships with other team members.
  • Commercial skills and good business sense to be able to identify and seize opportunities in a challenging and competitive market environment. 
  • Business level Japanese skills (of written and spoken)
  • Sound understanding of environmental sustainability challenges in multinational companies.
