Roles & Responsibilities


Join a global team of diverse members of the Shiseido HQ Global Logistics Department, to drive and lead Shiseido's logistics global scale transformation journey.
Our HQ team is based in Tokyo, and works closely with regional teams in Japan, China, Asia Pacific, Americas, EMEA, and Travel Retails.  

As the Group Manager of Logistics Service group of the Global Logistics Department, you will lead a team of highly energetic individuals in developing and optimizing processes to "beautify" logistics and become best in class.

Purpose of the Position :
Develop and drive Performance & Process Optimization as well as Training, Education & Auditing, upon the implementation of global strategy, framework, guidelines for Shiseido's global commercial logistics.   
This is to be delivered through leadership and collaboration with global, regional and affiliate teams as;    
◆ Region Performance Support with Performance Analytics & Reporting
◆ Process standardization and Optimization.
◆ Talent Development Tool & Procedure as well as Logistics Training Course Delivery
◆ Compliance & Audit Program


Role & Responsibilities; 
1. Support Regional Logistics Teams in achieving their operational and financial goals via;
     - Timely performance analytics and reporting
     - Value addition to help fulfilling the gaps
     - Call-out / escalation with VP to CSNO or HQ ECs to gain upper management supports.  

2. Drive standardization and optimization of key operational processes, playbooks, guidelines etc. through; 
     - Assessing and defining most appropriate global process or procedure
     - Support of Implementation up to stabilization
     - Exception approval if with large impact to business from unique-to-local inquiries

3. Help Regional Logistics Teams to bench-strengthen respective organization capability via;
     - Implement tools to identify gaps in people's skill, and help identify suitable training plans to close the gaps.
     - Create and maintain a robust Training Library for employees to refer to and obtain materials for their talent development.

4. Drive compliance internal and external regulations / policies, in the areas of Safety, Quality and Sustainability among Shiseido's Global Commercial Logistics Community. 

5. Lead and guide other team members within the group in developing their capabilities/knowledge and achieving goals 





- End-to-End knowledge and experience in Commercial Logistics functional areas including warehouse operation, transportation (international and domestic) with operation and business administration.  10+ years experience in Logistics and/or SCM with a min 5 years at managerial level. 
- Strong leadership and communication capability to drive diverse of stakeholders within HQ and Regions reflecting cultural and business maturity differences. 
- Able to work in Headquarter to lead Regions OR deep experience in working with Headquarter from Region / Local
- Experience in working with multiple regions and project experience with members from multiple backgrounds
- Analytical with good project management skills
- People development even to non / low experienced junior members
- Business English


- End-to-End knowledge and experience in entire Supply Chain
- Strong operational knowledge in Warehousing and Transportation (domestic and international) with experience in managing 3PL an added advantage. 
- Beauty or consumer goods / B2C / B2B2C
- Lean 6 Sigma
- Business Level of Japanese
