Job Summary 
Reporting into the Global Total Rewards Director, the Global Total Rewards Manager will be the focal point in working closely with the respective Regional Compensation & Benefits Leads as well as the Regional HR Business Partners to implement the Global Total Rewards initiatives in our 6 regions (EMEA, APAC, Americas, China, Japan, and Travel Retail) and to support the strategy and execution of Shiseido’s Global Total Rewards programs on a global scale.


The Global Total Rewards Manager will also define compensation approaches, devise market benchmarks for challenging and complex roles, and ensure that new and existing salary ranges are up to date and appropriate. The Global Total Reward Manager will provide area expertise regarding compensation processes, lead and develop compensation initiatives.


Furthermore, the Global Total Rewards Manager will drive best practices in the areas for rewards and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness and provide competitive edge in attraction and retention.


Key Responsibilities
•    Support the operational global total rewards processes and navigate the overall processes in relation to compensation programs.
•    Analyse global total rewards programs (compensation, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives) to proactively review the programs and look to implement changes or improvements where necessary.
•    Assist in the review and redesign of the global total rewards programs in place within the company and implement changes where they feel necessary.
•    Assist with compensation and benefits benchmarking, through the participation in relevant surveying outputs and making area expertise recommendations.
•    The design, development, and implementation of engaging PowerPoint presentations, which will be used to educate, inform, and influence teams in compensation decisions.
•    Support, design and implement strategy design for global total rewards programs.
•    Prepare and review business cases for requests for salary increase and adjustments.
•    Provide assistance for the development and devising of global, regional or local compensation standards.
•    Reinforce company-wide total rewards-related policies and processes to enhance corporate governance and risk management and ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks.
•    Lead, manage, and participate in ad hoc Total Rewards Projects, task forces and special assignments.
•    Conduct job evaluation/analysis of existing and new positions and assist our HR practitioners and manager´s involved in the career path/ladder formation in a transparent fashion and with equity at the forefront.
•    Leverages technology to enhance total rewards reporting, communications, and process simplification
•    Ensures that accurate estimates, forecasts, and calculations of expenditures in compensation align with budget planning and tracking.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•    Experience in Global Compensation / Rewards is required for this role, ideally gained in both consulting and corporate environments.
•    Experience working across several different geographies is preferred.
•    Proficiency in English and Japanese is required.
•    The ability to drive analysis with limited guidance is essential for this role.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
•    Advanced skills in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required for this role.
•    A self-motivated and creative problem-solving individual with the ability to take initiative and accept suggestions for improvement. 
•    The ability to develop approaches to tasks, create and implement process, and develop frameworks for organising work and evaluating ideas is essential.
•    The ability to structure, plan and prioritise work and projects effectively is essential.
•    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required for this role.
