●Organization / Mission:
Shiseido initiated the FOCUS Global Program in September 2019, as multi-year journey to achieve the highest possible level of data and process standardization across the business and market, while remaining compliant to mandatory requirements.
Business Transformation Dept. is responsible to play a role of "Global core Team". The team is to define the program and organization governance to ensure global solution and regional deployments roll out.
The Technical Architecture / Infrastructure team is responsible for overseeing the entire Shiseido enterprise systems landscape (mainly SAP) hosted on Cloud (Azure and more), including middleware, SAP BASIS, othre supporting technologies from development to production. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security, with a target uptime of 99.97%.
・Drive system architecture and landscape design, develop, and deploy in scope for FOCUS and manage implementation and maintenance.
・Develop IT policies and procedures to meet security requirements and identify threats and vulnerabilities in the landscape to build a robust information system and security management system.
・Ensure 99.97% uptime of global FOCUS systems (and limit and business risk). Including Backup and Disaster Recovery.
●Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure and Middleware Management:
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of SAP systems (PI/PO, CPI) and middleware on Cloud (mainly Azure).
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of SAP applications, targeting 99.97% uptime.
- Oversee the implementation System availability (High Availability) and disaster recovery plans and backup strategies.
2. SAP BASIS and Middleware Team Leadership:
- Manage the SAP BASIS team and middleware specialists, ensuring efficient operations and support.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate training and professional development opportunities for team members.
3. System Administration and Optimization:
- Manage day-to-day operations of SAP systems including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting. Including OS administration, Virtual Machine and Cyber Security Management.
- Implement best practices for system performance optimization and proactive issue resolution.
- Conduct regular system health checks and audits to maintain optimal performance. This includes the Infrastructure hosting and monitoring.
4. Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, ensuring high-quality service and support.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to meet business requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with SLAs.
5. Project Management:
- Lead SAP infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Manage resources, both internal and external, to achieve project goals.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to align SAP infrastructure with business requirements.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of SAP systems and projects.
- Foster a collaborative environment among team members and across departments.
7. Innovation and Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve SAP infrastructure efficiency and performance.
- Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and SAP innovations.
- Implement best practices for SAP on cloud infrastructure management.
8. Compliance and Security:
- Ensure that all Enterprise systems comply with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential security risks and implement mitigations.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
9. Global Capability building
- Build the internal capability builing to lead the entire systems landscape gloally
- Keep maintaining the technical skill of the team up to dated
●Requirements:
・Education:
- bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
・Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing SAP systems in global environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing SAP BASIS, middleware, and cloud infrastructure.
・Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of SAP Basis administration and middleware technologies.
- Extensive experience with SAP on Azure, including Azure architecture, services, and deployment models.
- Proficiency in SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and other SAP technologies (on-premises and Cloud technologies).
- Strong knowledge of network, security, and storage configurations on Azure.
- Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Professional, Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
・Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

●Preferred Qualification:
1. International experience for both HQ and Region
2. Fluent in English / Japanese both spoken and written is required
3. Fluent in Chinese is a plus
