Title:  Education & Beauty Asset Group Manager

Key Objectives of the Role

For salon business the education support is the most essential partnership value for salon owner and stylists. Therefore Shiseido Professional requires a highly talented group manager who can strategize operational task with balance of IQ and EQ. Social skills are crucial for successful performance in leading internal and external education teams, including relationship building with external salon clients, beauty creators and artists.
 

Roles & Responsibilities

EDUCATION

  • Develop and steer implementation of global education strategy for JP+CN+APAC
  • Define annual education activity calendar for global / regional / local implementation
  • 360° product / hair & fashion trend education plan & education materials aligned with brand / category / NPD launch calendar
  • Planning and coordination of diverse education / seminar / events in Japan and across APAC countries, including annual beauty congress event in Tokyo for 1500+ participants
  • Engage and collaborate with beauty creators / salon stylists / artists community (global, Japanese, local beauty creators in Japan HQ and local countries)
  • Define and execute roadmap for digital transformation of education assets including e-learning program

BEAUTY ASSET MANAGEMENT

  • Steer beauty synergy projects in collaboration with other Shiseido divisions
  • Leverage Shiseido’s Beauty Creators for Salon Professional business across CN+APAC
  • Engage in development of new customer experience concepts to reinvent salon journey
  • Budget / Team responsibility
  • Manage budget for education / beauty asset projects

Basic Requirements

  • Profound experience as education manager in beauty industry (salon and/or beauty service industry preferred).
  • Experience as regional or global education manager steering several country education teams (ideally in Asia).
  • Excellent social and relationship building skills with internal and external artists / educators / salon clients.
  • Experience in organizing small to big size education events and shows on local / regional / global level.
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (other asian language beneficial - i.e. Chinese).
  • Passion for education and people motiviating diverse team including cross-country in APAC.
  • Track record in people management skills of developing and motivating team.
  • Presentation skill (power point, excel).
  • Hands-on, structured, open-minded, creative, motivated with drive.
  • Business level English and Japanese
     

Other Qualifications

  • Multi-cultural experience is an advantage, including additional Asian language skills.
  • Good sense for aesthetics, design and fashion is an advantage.
  • Team player with social / communication skills.
  • Optional: Hair Dressing licence/ Technical skill set in salon service industry
