Purpose of the Position

 

Require a manager to lead the Business Intelligence and Sustainability Reporting function within the Global Master Data Management Team.  The effective utilization of data is a key pillar of success in the FOCUS program, delivering accurate insights to improve the management and strategy of the company. This role will drive the deployment of globally standardized reporting to all regions, and to assess new requests to align with the fundamental KPIs defined by leadership.

 

The Business Intelligence Manager will define and manage the priorities for reporting and analytics deployment utilizing SAP Analytics Cloud as part of the FOCUS global solution. The role will be required to manage the execution plans and resource allocation within the development and deployment partners.

 

  1. Implement and lead prioritization of the report delivery. This involves the communication and assessment of report requirements within global and regional stakeholders. Definition, scope, approval through DAB gap management process, development and delivery through the delivery partners.
  2. Lead the day-to-day management of Business Intelligence and Sustainability Reporting following FOCUS principles, user feedback, report utilization, the company’s culture and sustainability requirements.
  3. Manage the delivery of regional reporting requirements and deployment of global standard reporting inline with all regional and functional deployments as defined by the FOCUS IMP plan.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

 

The Business Intelligence function within the MDM department will primary be responsible for all FOCUS reporting and analytics deployed via the SAP Analytics Cloud solution on BI HANA data platform.

  1. Implement and drive reporting standardization based on the global functional KPIs 
  2. Regularly review the report utilization to audit active scope of reports
  3. Work with the regions, global and local leadership to align reporting and analytics to regulatory and global business requirements
  4. Lead user acceptance testing during deployment and conduct regular reviews on report accuracy
  5. Capture and manage the reporting requirements for the regulatory compliance under the Sustainability program. Manage the communications with HQ Sustainability leadership.
  6. Establish a business as usual process and solution for managing Business Intelligence and Sustainability Reporting in day to day production environment. Create a workflow process and support structure to manage requests for change on existing deployed reports and analytics.


 

Requirements

 

Competency / Qualification, Education, Experiences etc.

 

  1. Team leader with experience to scope, implement, standardize and manage the deployment of BI reporting and collaborate actively with senior leaders across Shiseido 
  2. Significant experience of end to end development of BI reports, preferably within SAP landscape (10 years +)
  3. Familiar with Business Intelligence Best Practice processes
  4. Flexibility to respond to changing requirements 
  5. Ability to assess risks and develop contingency / migration plans


Other Requirements

 

  1. Has strong motivation for innovation / change

  3. Experienced project and/or program management
  4. Ability to assess current situations and develop pragmatic solutions and plan
  5. English (Business Level)
