The Business Intelligence Manager acts as analytical business expert as part of the Global Business Development team for our leading brand SHISEIDO Ginza Tokyo.
Main responsibilities include the collection, analysis and visualization of data to provide actionable insights that influence strategic decisions and drive business growth.
The role requires a consulting mindset for problem solution, as well as passion for creative storytelling with data.
●Key Responsibilities:
• Act as analytical business partner: Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis leading to concrete business development opportunities.
• Present findings to global brand teams and senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
• Support the brand mid-term planning by analyzing and predicting business performances on regional, market level and relevant scenario planning.
• Comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
• Creation of standardized monthly business reporting as well as custom analysis according to business needs
• Integrate data from various sources, including business performance, market share results, sales reports, channel performance, media spending.
• Design, construct, and deploy Power BI solutions, including dashboards and reports, to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with the global business team, global brand team, including marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment and support data-driven strategies.
●Requirements:
• Experience in turning data into actionable insights, in deciphering the story that lies in the data to create compelling and insightful recommendations.
• Exceptional skills in data analysis, excel, deck creation, communicating and presenting
• Min. 5 years of experience in consumer insights, market research or consulting
• Analytical with great attention to details
• Problem solving skills
• Passionate about creative storytelling with data
• Curious to learn and challenge oneself in a fast-paced environment
• Experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

●Preferred Qualification:
• Experience at a consulting firm / research or management consulting
• Experience in market panel (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, Kantar, Euromonitor)
• Experience in consumer trends (e.g., Mintel, WGSN)
• Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required
