MAIN PURPOSE

The Training Manager is responsible for the training and development of Beauty Consultants.

This entails implementation of global and regional training modules, creation of relevant localized materials applicable for the brand/market, includes and not limited to product training, effective salesmanship skills, selling methods and technical makeup application. The Training Manager monitors and drives performance, productivity, and level of service of all Beauty Consultants.

The Training Manager is expected to create an effective learning environment whether online or offline, in a group or one-on-one.

This position supports the brand through the creation of relevant materials to be used for PR or training, ensuring that they are in line with the brand's DNA and image.

The Training Manager, as part of the brand team, is a representative of the brand in the local market, a brand ambassador, raising brand awareness among media, KOLs and influencers, retail staff, retailer partners and consumers.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Beauty Consultant Training & Development

  • Develop KPIs as agreed with Brand Manager
  • Create and develop the coaching strategy and training calendar to enable field staff to achieve daily, monthly, and yearly KPIs as set and agreed upon with the Brand Manager.
  • Drive growth of stores through focus on staff productivity
  • Enforce brand standards for all Beauty Consultants – grooming, salesmanship, service
  • Maintain visibility in-stores at least (3) three times a week to follow through on KPIs
  • Recommends incentives, activities and programs that are relevant to the achievement of KPIs
  • Responsible for all training reports and cosmetics evaluation reports as required by the management team on a regular basis
  • Accountable for new launch sell thru of each field staff/personnel
  • Plan and oversee facial service operations and productivity.

Retail Operations & Sales

  • Works hand in hand with the Retail Operations team, head office and retailer partners to coordinate scheduling of all training and development initiatives – basic school, seasonal trainings, promotional/ad-hoc modules, event and in-store education for Makeup Artists, Beauty Consultants, Counter Managers and Boutique Proprietors.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of staff’s grooming, selling skills, customer service, motivation, grievance handling and discipline.
  • Facilitate together with the Sales Manager and Retail SOM in field staff personal evaluation to assess their performance and development
  • Takes an active role in the hiring process of sales staff to ensure brand fit
  • Ensures stores are well equipped to be able to deliver productivity goals – promo implementation, stocks, testers, staff tools, visual merchandising

Brand, Marketing and CRM

  • Supports the brand team in initiatives outside training & development
  • Executes consumer-facing activities (online & offline) – livestreams, workshops, live-selling, one-on-one consultations
  • Provides a support for product related queries from retailer partners, consumers, staff
  • Create training initiatives within each brand campaign to achieve KPIs on productivity
  • CRM Program reinforcement through the Beauty Consultants. Ensuring monthly store CRM KPIs are met in collaboration with the CRM Marketing Executive.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years in the education or retail sales field, preferably handling personnel
  • Fluent in English and Filipino - written and spoken.
  • Comfortable and competent at makeup application.
  • Experience with managing a team will be valued
  • A proactive hands-on disposition with the ability to multitask
  • Understanding of the beauty services industry with a commitment to embrace, learn and perfect the brand's make up/skin care application technique
  • Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills, ability to “think on their feet”
  • Excellent communication skills - must be able to communicate well with colleagues, media, field staff and consumers on both online and offline platforms
  • Must be flexible with regards to work hours; ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays including travel, if necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of market trends in the cosmetics & fashion industry.
  • College graduate or equivalent education or experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Able to perform all services according to the procedures outlined in the Service Handbook.
