KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

With a strategic and collaborative mindset, you will provide financial leadership and work closely with the STR business leaders to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to drive business performance. You will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and identify areas of growth and efficiency.

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a business partner as well as roles with financial leadership responsibility in multinational companies. A self-starter, strategic thinker, action-driven and flexible in dynamic business direction and methods environment. Additionally, qualified candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, succeed in communicating with all levels within the organization and provide an immediate contribution.

 

You will play a leading role in the strategic planning, pricing and financial reporting relating to actuals, forecast and annual budget. Reporting to the Chief Financial and Operations Officer of STR, you will lead a team who works closely with key stakeholders to:

 

  • Provide thought leadership as a valued finance business partner through regular and constructive interaction with Marketing, Commercial, Corporate functions (including Supply Network, HR and IT) with significant interactions with key Finance personnel globally.
  • Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams within STR and Headquarters to ensure alignment between financial and business objectives and to maximise the outcome of the finance function.
  • Deliver timely financial analysis and provide meaningful and actionable insights, commentaries, advice, and recommendations to effectively measure business performance against strategic priorities. Identify key risks and opportunities for improvement of financial performance and to effectively communicate relevant information.
  • Monitor and analyze current, past and industry trends in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, margin, SGA, operating income, capital expenditure against budget and forecast. Provide adhoc reports and analysis where required.
  • Responsible for mid- and long-term planning, forecasting and analysis that produce accurate, achievable plans and forecasts, aligned with strategic objectives of the business.

 

  • Lead the Pricing function to optimise pricing strategy across the region, actively participate and contribute in global pricing initiatives and projects
  • Drive the implementation of Shiseido global systems and process harmonization and collaborate across teams to deliver project objectives
  • Drive change and sustain efficient, effective, and compliant management, budgeting and financial controls and reporting processes.
  • Develop a high-performing finance team to meet current and future business needs.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

 

  • CPA preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years as a Finance leader responsible for business partnering and financial planning and analysis roles in multinational environment. Experience in leading regional / global finance functions will be an advantage.
  • Experience in driving strategic business plans and working with C-suites to translate management imperatives into pragmatic actions
  • Leadership maturity, strong collaborator, partnership oriented and active integrator as this role will require candidates to be inherently capable of driving integration and alignment across business units and functional areas.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail, solution oriented and demonstrated capability to synthesize complex information into concise and succinct messages for stakeholders
  • Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • High level of integrity and demonstrated commitment to extremely high professional ethical standards and compliance.
  • Ability to mentor and nurture talent to create a high-performing finance community
  • Proven experience on digital transformation in finance field to unleash the potential of the finance organization with the right technologies and skill sets for data-driven decision making as well as realizing operational excellence for enterprise financial operations.
