MAIN PURPOSE

 

Shiseido Travel Retail is a fast-growing organization, focusing on distribution within Duty Free Zones (Airports, Downtown Stores). This role plays a vital part to work closely with key stakeholders including Brandholders, internal and regional teams as well as external vendors.

 

Reporting to the Retail Design Manager, the Retail Design Senior Executive will be exposed to brands, under the SHISEIDO Group, and the opportunity for global experience and growth within the company.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Key focus is to ensure brand design equity is applied consistently across Regional Travel Retail locations.

 

  • With a clear understanding of the Brand Design Guidelines, work with regions on layouts and technical drawings (including 3D visualization if required) for further development of technical packages while overcoming site and material challenges with timely delivery of the projects.
  • Generate quality technical build drawings for key projects with high level of accuracy for effective delivery of design and communication with internal stakeholders and brand holders.
  • Maintain communication and exchanges with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of proposed concepts adhere to brand guidelines and regional (traveller) shopper profiles and requirements.
  • Where required, with a “take risk” and think “out-of-box” mindset, work closely with internal stakeholders to develop bespoke outpost concept which encapsulates the consumers’ O2O journey for an elevated onsite interaction and experience, resulting in consumer purchase.
  • Vendor liaison – briefing, costing and project management with external vendors on prototyping, digital and physical events managements.
  • Working closely with the regional project management team, ensure that designs can be achieved within the region’s budget in order to deliver a heathy P&L.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design
  • At least 3 years of related working experience or 5 years interior/retail design, preferably with luxury brands. Prior experience in Travel Retail environment will be an advantage
  • Proficient in design software such as Sketch up, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently and multi-task to manage workload with tight timelines
  • Have an acute eye for detail and ensure high level of precision in managing design details
  • Clear and efficient communication and presentation skills with proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to converse and read Chinese will be added advantage
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize and plan to ensure timely delivery
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Be open to feedback and ability to turnaround deliverables by stipulated timelines
  • Solution-orientated
