MAIN PURPOSE

Shiseido Travel Retail is a fast-growing organization, focusing on distribution within Duty Free Zones (Airports, Downtown Stores, Air flights). Among more than 10 different brands, Shiseido and Cle de Peau are the two important skincare brands within the group.

 

As a Travel Retail Marketing Assistant Manager, you will play a key role to both develop the business and organization in a very exciting and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for all operational planning, supporting the sales team in Duty Free channels (Airport, Downtown stores) to grow brand equity, visibility and drive sales to grow market share.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will be accountable for planning and executing trade marketing activations, as well as ensuring smooth operations to maximize consumer engagement & sales for NARS. Covering all aspects of operational brand management, you will play a key role in communicating brand information to relevant stakeholders and coordinating Marketing efforts, in accordance with global brand guidelines.

 

Animations and Promotions

  • In charge of proposing and maintaining trade activations calendar (in-store animation, events and promotional offers)
  • Develop event brief with clear objectives, budgets, KPIs for internal alignment with various stakeholders (including Brand Function, Commercial, VM, Demand Planning, Digital) where applicable
  • Agency services procurement and legal follow up
  • Ensure execution excellence: managing agency timeline, quality control, preparing toolkits, liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution, follow through and tracking of results, ROI, post-mortem analysis where applicable

 

Product Marketing

  • Responsible for maintaining TR-relevant assortment, ensuring proper communication to all relevant stakeholders (on product information, pricing, HP labels, forecasts allocations etc.).
  • Perform data analysis & put together forecast proposal for forecast of novelties, key SKUs and TREX
  • Maintain sales by line report and track line performance vs. monthly plan
  • Coordinate store seasonal VM updates/visual changeover for new product launches in collaboration with VM team
  • Support pricing discussions where applicable
  • Liaise with Commercial and Demand Planning teams to ensure retailers order the right SKUs at the right time while taking into consideration stock constraints

 

GWP / POSM

  • Guide the planning of GWP strategy in accordance with regional specificities and ensure smooth roll-out (e.g., kitting follow up, pouch production, regions allocations, logistics follow up)
  • Track GWP and POSM requisitions, usage and budget in a timely manner

 

Digital

  • Implement social digital campaigns and maintain communication calendar
  • Ensuring assets are available, aligned to proper approval process and delivered in a timely manner
  • Support other digital activities such as brand shop launch/upgrade, new product launches online listing, digital giveaways campaigns and livestreaming branded content

 

Others

  • Prepare presentations for internal & external meetings (e.g., regular stakeholders’ meetings, retailer meetings).
  • Preparation of sales reports for the brand; category, franchise, region, retailer, and provide analysis and recommendation where applicable

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a recognized university degree, preferably in Marketing / Business
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in either sales or marketing function, preferably in FMCG and / or Beauty Player with successful track records
  • Prior experience in Travel Retail will have an advantage
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Visible leadership skills  and ability to motivate and lead others with integrity to achieve results
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates)
  • Strong understanding of China market/Chinese consumers is a plus
  • Oriented to problem solving and has strong interpersonal skills
