This role reports to the Vice President, HR, Shiseido Travel Retail and will be responsible for independently partnering the Commercial & Business Development function for Travel Retail Asia Pacific market. In general, these areas span recruitment, learning & development, career development, compensation & benefits, resource planning in the capacity of HR Business Partner. Close collaboration is also expected in association with the HR Centres of Expertise (Talent and Total Rewards) where applicable. The successful candidate will play an essential role in driving HR programmes and talent initiatives forward while always ensuring they align with the company's business objectives.



Essential business activities expected from this position:


HR Strategic Focus:

Responsible for developing and executing an integrated HR plan to support the business through HR core activities and operations (e.g., sourcing, performance management, talent development & retention, culture & change leader, etc.) through deep understanding of business strategies, objectives, and organization challenges of Travel Retail Asia Pacific Commercial Teams.



Responsible for owning and managing the end-to-end sourcing process within agreed time frames. This would be enabled via deep understanding of individual roles within Commercial Teams to enable accurate placement and fit of prospective candidates.

Maintain a strong business relationship with partnered function built on trust, integrity, and respect. Thereby operating as the focal point by owning and leading HR-related processes.


Talent Development and Progression:

In the capacity of HR Business Partner, supervise, advise, and assist on the active management of performance, learning needs and career development of employees within the function in line with best practices.



Individuals who do well in this role at Shiseido Travel Retail typically possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience. Ideally 3 years in HRBP capacity or 5 years in other Human Resource roles. Relevant exposure within the Beauty Industry is a plus.
  • Ability to fluently converse in both English and Mandarin will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, structured problem solving, and rational decision-making skills.
  • Strong business acumen and are self-inclined to continuously acquire and enrich both technical and commercial knowledge.
  • Keen ability to listen, comprehend and balance the needs of employees together with those of the company.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to achieve business results with positive outcomes across the spectrum of stakeholders.
