MAIN PURPOSE

 

Part of the global travel retail brand management and marketing function, the Brand Senior Executive/Assistant Manager will support the Brand Manager in adapting the global brand strategy of the brands (IPSA/ The Ginza/ BAUM) into a Travel Retail specific roadmap. He/she will work closely with regions to localize marketing strategies, develop effective promotions and marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency across Travel Retail markets primarily in Travel Retail Asia.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Marketing

  • Assist Brand Manager in developing and implementing marketing & consumer engagement activities with a focus on Chinese travelling Tourists to achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives
  • Assist Brand Manager in liaison with external agencies and consequently regional marketing teams for successful implementation
  • Assist Brand Manager in the consolidation of information and alignment of marketing functions (online and offline activations), development and issuance of TR Marketing Guidelines (i.e. marketing calendar, launch book) to regional marketing teams
  • Support in the development of Go-To-Market Launch Books by streamlining key information from Brandholder to a comprehensive document to deliver market/consumer insights, objectives, big bets, 360 launch plan and list of supporting assets
  • Follow up with regions for submission of their marketing plans (launches, animations, visuals) for analysis and review
  • Follow up with regions for post campaign analysis

 

Digital & Social

  • Support Brand Manager with conceptualization of Travel Retail specific digital and social assets
  • Work alongside the digital team on campaign conceptualisation and asset creation

 

Events

  • Support Brand Manager with preparation of internal stakeholder events, trade shows (TFWA) etc
  • Co-ordination with HQ Brandholder, external vendors on conceptualization, event planning and execution
  • Post event reporting and analysis

 

TREX

  • Support Brand Manager with Travel Retail Exclusives (TREX) strategy
  • Consolidate marketing intelligence and regular feedback from regions on new product selections and competitors’ activities/products to provide Brandholder with trend updates, consumer and competitive insights
  • Liaise with Brandholder and the regions for assortment line-up
  • Assist with developing launch guidelines for the Travel Exclusives collection (POSM, activations, digital)

 

Reports/Presentations

  • Follow up with regions for submission of monthly sales reports for Brandholder in a timely manner
  • Support Annual Budget Planning with consolidation of information
  • Any other reports/presentations support for business reviews and retailer presentations

 

Pricing

  • Management of product master pricing file, product information and assortment for all regions
  • Update master pricing file with pricing updates from Region or Brandholder

 

Visual Merchandising

  • Liaise with Visual Merchandising department in the creation/development of collaterals and POSM for counters/ key launches

 

Other Ad Hoc tasks as required

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience and prior experience in beauty industry preferred
  • Good sense of marketing and commercial awareness
  • Strong interest in skincare and makeup trends
  • Good ability to manage complexity in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong team spirit, sense of collaboration, flexibility and positive energy with can-do mentality
  • Strong analytical and organization skills with attention to details
  • Strong command of oral and written communication skills in English, Chinese and proficiency in Japanese will have an advantage but not a pre-requisite
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint
