Singapore - Business Controlling Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Financial Planning and Analysis “FP&A”:

  • Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of Fragrance Division’s monthly closing, budget, and forecast reports, providing senior management with actionable financial insights.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of Fragrance Division’s financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.

 

Business Partnering:

  • Act as a trusted lead Finance Business Partner to Fragrance Division, offering strategic financial advice and support to various stakeholders.
  • Deliver financial information and insights that enable stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and achieve desired business outcomes.

 

Reporting and Insights:

  • Compile and analyse weekly sales reports as well as monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
  • Design robust Excel financial dashboards for Fragrance Division’s business scenario simulations.

 

Reporting Optimization:

  • Review, enhance, and develop various reports, including channel/customer P&L, store/BC productivity, and sales templates.
  • Identify and create tools for productive analysis and interactive planning purposes for the Fragrance team.

 

Financial Governance:

  • Ensure alignment to group financial policies.
  • Cash flow management
  • Review and approve Purchase Orders and Concur T&E claims, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

 

Internal Controls:

  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of internal controls.  Support the SFD in reviewing and updating policies and procedures, acting as an Internal Controls Lead and advocate for employee education on all policies and procedures.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Analyse and refine business finance processes, procedures, and operations to optimize financial performance.

 

Systems Support:

  • Participate in systems migration and enhancement projects, such as SAP S/4 HANA (PaPM, BPC modules) and BI.

 

Team Support:

  • Offer backup support to team members during their leave absences.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various ad-hoc projects as required.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or other professional accounting qualification (e.g. Chartered Accountant, ACCA).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, ideally including 2 years in external audit with Big 4.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, vital to possess excellent Power BI/ tableau, Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.  Data analytics skills such as SQL and python are desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to positively influence and build/maintain good relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
  • SAP S/4 HANA knowledge will be advantageous.  System migration experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in cosmetics/beauty, FMCG or luxury industry background will be advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadline and handle huge data with manual processing.
