Regional Technical Information Innovation Executive

MAIN PURPOSE

  • Manage planning, organizing, and developing technical information for new products and existing products under several brands.
  • Verify Product names, claims, communications and advertisement from the regional regulation and science points of view, then substantiate all with efficacy tests and other technical information.
  • Support regional & local RA team for claim substantiation, and track, summarize and share regional regulation and the changes for claim development globally.
  • Support marketing activities from technical aspects.
  • Conduct consumer research and competitor research in the cosmetic industry to propose and develop more attractive claim and technical information.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional technical information development (Background, Ingredients, Formula, Package, Demo, Diagram)

  • Create technical information according to new product concept.
  • Check and verify product claims and plan how to substantiate them by ingredient and formula information or efficacy test.
  • Execute efficacy tests in-house or with third party by arranging schedule, confirming protocol, preparing test products and so on.
  • Review, summarize and analyse the test results.
  • Finalize all claims with MKT.
  • Communicate well with marketing, regulatory and R&I teams to execute the above jobs.

 

Marketing and Regulatory activities support

  • Support to create marketing materials such as mechanism diagram or demo movie to explain unique technology or ingredients used and the efficacy in the products.
  • Present technical information to Press/internal training or etc.
  • Response local authority inquiries with technical information.

 

Track and Update regional regulation and the changes for claim development

  • Communicate with regional RA team to track the local regulation changes and update the information toward global R&I members.

 

Consumer and Competitors research

  • Plan and execute APAC area consumer research to understand APAC consumers for future innovative product development.
  • Research and Analyse competitors’ attractive products and claim by market visit or external information and data to improve our substantiation methods.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree holder with specialization in science or pharmaceuticals
  • Possess 3-5 years work experience in a similar capacity
  • Prior experience in claim development / substantiation field with regulation knowledge in APAC
  • Possess understanding & knowledge for product claim development / substantiation
  • Prior experience of working in cross functional and matrix organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • High curiosity and proactive attitude.
  • Risk-taker with analytical approach
  • Creative but realistic
