Regional Ecommerce Director


The incumbent is required to lead the launch and ongoing management of the eCommerce business in select geographies.



  • Work closely with the Vice President of Digital and eCommerce and various teams to accelerate Shiseido Group’s eCommerce business, with a strategic and sustainable business model that will be a combination of building own branded eCommerce stores and selling via online retailers and pure-players.
  • This highly collaborative position liaises with the Global Digital Centre of Excellence on Technical, Marketing and Analytics teams, as well as Creative, and User Experience Teams to execute both near term tactical initiatives as well as longer term strategic projects.
  • Accountable for e-commerce business KPIs including, but not limited to, revenue, traffic, conversion, AOV, margin, inventory, etc.
  • The candidate should have omnichannel and O2O experience, with a proven record of running omnichannel direct to consumer business. With this, the expectation is to guide country teams in setting up omnichannel practices, and establish the strategy and action plans for success.
  • While driving eCommerce in the region, empower local teams with skills and expertise needed, enrichening the digital knowledge needed to sustain new business.
  • Collaborate with Shiseido Group affiliates/subsidiaries in Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual agreements between Shiseido, third party e-commerce partners, vendors, and other players in the e-commerce ecosystem. Ensure alignment with Shiseido Digital Centre of Excellence and Shiseido Headquarters for all contracts and agreements.
  • Help partners manage customer database and interaction: CRM, email, personalization, segmentation.
  • Guide country teams to operate and manage brand.com storefronts: ongoing monitoring, always improving.
  • Help build website reporting and dashboards which will include tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), traffic sources, device usage, merchandising and funnel behaviours across all markets.
  • Work with the local country Heads of eCommerce and Regional leadership teams to forecast revenue and establish sustainable budgets.



  • Highly motivated individual with 8-10 years of experience, of which 6-8 years of eCommerce specific experience in building and driving eCommerce businesses.
  • Understanding of Sales Force Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware), Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Exact Target, Order Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems, and other systems in the eCommerce technology ecosystem.
  • Must have a strong and detailed view of business user requirements for proposed functionality enhancements specially for brand.com, as well as future-looking roadmap key projects.
  • A leader with experience working within a global operating model, proven success managing multiple distribution partners, and the ability to drive alignment between HQ and regional teammates.
