MAIN PURPOSE

 

The Regional Brand Director defines the operational marketing strategy for a region and/or a distribution channel in compliance with the Brand strategy. He/she defines specific development needs and makes recommendations concerning the entire Marketing Mix.

 

The Regional Brand Director oversees commercial strategy for distributor market by the implementation of the sales and distribution policy to develop our brands equity, turnover & Profits.

 

 

KEY MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Managing and monitoring the implementation of operational marketing and support departments strategies

 

  • Providing guidelines for investment priorities of the marketing mix.
  • Defining the strategy for the Operational Marketing, Merchandising, Communication and Training operations on the markets
  • Approving the local marketing operations on the markets, while respecting the Brand’s values
  • Reporting the operations results to the respective international department teams.

 

  1. Adapting the global marketing plans

 

  • Recommending adaptations to the global marketing plans according to specific characteristics of the region and/or the distribution channels

 

  1. Presenting and promoting marketing plans

 

  • Presenting and promoting the marketing plans, objectives, and strategies internally and externally
  • Communicating rules to the countries for the implementation of the operational marketing strategy

 

  1. Tracking performances and analysing market

 

  • Analysing the local distribution network and business results
  • Studying the prices of competing brands, and provide recommendation
  • Analysing how competing brands are established on a specific market
  • Analysing the sales potential of a country, market, store
  • Making marketing recommendations to the International Operational Marketing Dept and the Support Departments for developments on the markets
  • Leading brand reviews

 

  1. Negotiating Sales and A&P with Affiliates and Distributors
  • Manage local P&L by negotiating sales, A&P and local marketing activities with Affiliates, distributors
  • Negotiating spaces, promotions, with distributors
  • Negotiating P&L, Over Investment and purchases with Distributors

 

  1. Drawing up and managing a budget

 

  • Drawing up P&L for each market in compliance with Cost Control guidelines
  • Reaching Sales and Op target for Distributors market
  • Managing regional budget for Media & PR

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or Business Studies
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Asia, dealt with distributorship or retailer previously, preferably dealt with make-up and fragrance previously
  • Ability to manage in a matrix environment interfacing with all levels of the organisation including the global management team
  • Self-starter, creative and strong desire to work in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Possess strong negotiation skills
