Digital Marketing Assistant Manager

MAIN PURPOSE

 

Shiseido Travel Retail is a fast-growing organization, focusing on the distribution within Duty-Free Zones (Airports, Downtown Stores, in-flights). Shiseido Group holds more than 10 brands from luxury to premium range across the Perfume and Cosmetics category (Shiseido, Clé de Peau Beauté, Nars, Drunk Elephant, Dolce & Gabbana, Laura Mercier, Anessa, Ipsa, Elixir, The Ginza, Designer Fragrances Brands). As the Digital Marketing Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating digital growth in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Assistant Manager will work with multi-functional teams to drive retailer.com and retailer social media activations for all brands. This candidate should demonstrate a solid understanding of the digital media landscape in China as well as a point of view on creative best practices for eCommerce, digital display, KOL, livestream, social media, and help guide the internal stakeholders on digital campaign planning.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

e-Commerce Planning & Activation

 

  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager to set up retailer.com shop-in-shops and maintenance in Travel Retail APAC region
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison with the designated retailers to execute retailer co-op marketing/paid media plan
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (marketing, commercial and brand team), and work closely with external agencies for timely delivery of paid & earned digital campaign assets for retailer.com and retailer social media platforms
  • Routinely audit retailer.com for accuracy in product launches and marketing campaigns
  • Provide monthly post-campaign media report and explain the key business drivers
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and develop new initiatives

 

Social Media Activation  

 

  • Develop and execute effective livestream programme by working with cross-functional teams (marketing, commercial, retail & education team)
  • Effective day-to-day liaison with the designated retailers in the APAC region to deliver the best-in-class campaign assets and execution
  • Support in retailer led KOL seeding campaign

 

Competitive Analysis & Reporting

 

  • Work with data monitoring agency to consolidate reports and to provide summary of competitors’ digital campaigns/promotions for internal stakeholders
  • Support the Digital Marketing manager to analyse and provide retailer eCommerce trends vs our brands’ eCommerce activity performance

 

Digital Media Campaign Support

 

  • Work with CX, Cross-border and Business Function teams to provide regional assets/product marketing information for omni-channel campaigns in a timely manner
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager by working on digital campaign brief and joint business plan integration

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Work Experience

 

  • 5~6 years of experience in eCommerce or digital marketing gained from a consumer brand, eCommerce provider or digital marketing agency
  • Marketing experience in China will be highly valuable
  • Experience working with FMCG/Beauty Player would be viewed favourably. Experience in Travel Retail is a real plus

 

 Main Attributes

 

  • In-depth knowledge of the digital media landscape in China is a must
  • Fundamental understanding of UI, UX and web development. Although the candidate does not need to be a technician, the candidate will demonstrate the understanding and appreciate solving the critical issues in collaboration with agency partner and retailers. Able to adapt the technical knowledge into simplistic language where necessary for presentations to other stakeholders
  • Metrics/ROI driven and knows how to generate leads & track to close the loop
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
  • Be able to operate successfully in a rapidly changing and undefined environment
  • Extremely detail-oriented with a strong sense of work prioritization
  • A collaborative team player - able to work with people at all levels across the organization cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Sensitive to numbers, with an analytical mind and a desire to constantly deliver better results
