This will be a 6 months internship from Jan to Jun 2025. Please only apply if you are able to commit to the internship full-time.

MAIN PURPOSE 

Support the Regional Demand & Supply Planning team in driving analysis and developing solutions to accelerate forecast planning improvement and influence change  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Support in developing a modelling solution that proposes a forecast against retailer inventory or using consumer purchase data and taking into account the lead time of distribution from their warehouse out to stores (for distributors). Focus on top franchises / SKUs as pilot study. 

2. Support in developing an Inventory Optimization model to balance inventory levels with demand to reduce out of stocks and overstock situations. Incumbent will develop using safety stock calculations, lead time, volatility scenarios or reinforcement learning to optimize reorder points. 

With the help of Power BI, develop a simple dashboard to be used as an inventory monitor tool where it can provide a pre-alert for any out of stocks or overstocks situation.     

3. Support in developing a Planner Onboarding Start-Up Kit -   

A regional onboarding kit that can be used as a complete guide for newcomer. The start up kit should include planning cadence with the use of our GSOP calendar for a planner monthly key activity. A comprehensive guide to compile various sources of forecasting and replenishment processes across all brands / brand holders.  

REQUIREMENTS 

• Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills. 

• Self-starter team player, proactive, motivated and possess good problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Experience in developing machine learning model for forecasting 

• Experience in handling Microsoft Office suites especially Excel
