Asia Pacific - Regional Retail Design Executive, Visual Merchandising

MAIN PURPOSE

Supports regional strategic VM planning and delivers a consistent, elevated consumer experience. Ensures every retail environment reflects the brand’s image, commits to deliver creative ideas and executes with high-quality creative output.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Design Planning and Execution

  • Create and develop merchandising display themes and guidelines, according to marketing plans and global direction.
  • Merchandising space planning and design curation of branded retail environments.
  • Review vendor full package prior to construction.
  • Creation of planograms for merchandising displays to ensure quality and consistency in execution.
  • Conduct counter audits and post install reviews with supervisor to ensure merchandising guidelines are adhered to. Develop mitigation plan when necessary.
  • Supports ad-hoc in-house corporate design projects like:
    • Corporate collateral design
    • Visual branding elements, ie event visuals and editorial collaterals.
    • Key corporate meeting space design and branding elements.
    • Branded marketing website designs and content visualization for product lines. Including web banners.
  • Design and visualize outpost and events spaces to support brand marketing activities.
  • Image editing and video editing for campaign videos is required.

 

Partner Development and Team Building

  • Provides advice and direction to affiliate teams on matters relating to VMD.
  • Provides clarity and direction to production partners for design details and merchandising productions.

 

Creative Merchandising Development and Production

  • Create innovative and relevant merchandising design solutions for affiliate market teams.
  • Visual asset creation – graphic manipulation of product line key visuals for Shiseido brand.
  • Supports Global Creative in the design and production of key product marketing visual assets.
  • Ad-hoc support visual assets to support key events.

 

 

Market Insights & Innovation

  • Monitor competitors, emerging trends, and new retail technologies to apply to future VM strategies.
  • Recommend enhancements to improve visual impact, consumer journey, and product storytelling.
  • Share best practices and innovative ideas across the region to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Propose ideas and elevate and VM touchpoints

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree / Diploma in visual merchandising design, product/industrial design or interior design.
  • Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience. 

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in 3D Rhino/AutoCad, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign (Full works).
  • Drafting, 3D & 2D, space planning, video editing and photography experience is an advantage.
  • A team player with minimal supervision, has an eye for detail, and versatile with a willing to learn attitude
