Accountant

MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent’s responsibilities are:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for ensuring accounting records, policies and procedures are in compliance with latest IFRS requirements
• Leading all accounting related efforts including but not limited to fixed assets and inventory, cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivables and payables reconciliation with customers and vendors, inter-company balances and transactions
• Manage audit and statutory closing including drafting of financial statement  
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST reporting and yearly tax compliance
• Partnering with the Controlling team to gather information needed for financial planning and analysis related matters
• Manage month end and year end closing of accounts in a timely manner

• Managing tax planning and returns as well as coordinating annual audit with auditors
• Streamline internal processes, improve efficiency and controls
• Provide mentorship / training to two accounts executives
• Any other adhoc assignment and project

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accounting / ACCA or professional qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ working experience preferably in a Retail or FMCG environment
• Possess excellent analytical, numerate and writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge in SAP (FI & CO)
• Positive and pro-active attitude towards problem solving
• Have a strong sense of commitment, teamwork, good interpersonal skills and communication skills
