Digital Technology Manager (Korean only)

MAIN PURPOSE

The Sr. Digital Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, integration, and optimization of point-of-sale (POS) and Loyalty Management System(LMS) across the organization's Korea. This role serves as a technical and business partner to the Korea leadership, vendor management, and project teams to ensure the successful rollout and ongoing support of critical retail technology solutions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management and Vendor Collaboration

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Korea POS and middleware rollout projects, working closely with vendors to align technology roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance to project teams, ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies with the support of vendor resources.
  • Facilitate change management activities to support the seamless adoption of new systems by Korea teams.
  • Facilitate regular progress reviews and performance assessments with vendors, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to service-level agreements.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, service-level agreements, and escalation processes to optimize cost, quality, and reliability of vendor services.
  • Serve as the Korea and Singapore technical liaison between the local IT teams, users and vendors, effectively communicating requirements, issues, and resolutions for rollouts and business as usual.
  • Work closely with the procurement and legal teams to establish and maintain strong vendor relationships that support the organization's strategic objectives.

 

Ongoing Support and Optimization

  • Provide technical “know-how” for Korea POS/LMS and middleware systems, working closely with the Vendors’ L2 support teams.
  • Analyse system performance data and identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
  • Ensure availability of documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials to support the Korea teams.
  • POS Daily Operation & Month End Closing Support
  • Beaute Research & Reward Data / SMS Text Service
  • POS & LMS User Management including Role/permission.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a Korea or enterprise-level POS (e.g., Cegid, Retail Pro, Ivend, NEC), support role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing POS and middleware implementations, integrations, and support
  • Strong technical expertise in POS, including hardware, software, and integrations.
  • Excellent project management and vendor relationship management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in retail or e-commerce operations, middleware and ERP is preferred
  • Willingness to explore new technologies, project and team player
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills to identify optimization opportunities
