Compensation & Benefits Manager - Lead
MAIN PURPOSE
Play as a key expert in reviewing, researching, designing and implementing compensation and benefit programs within a highly competitive and dynamic industry and a complex legal framework.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefit programs
- Formulate case-based recommendations to senior management regarding changes or implementation of new programs consistent with market trends and business strategies in line with Total Rewards mission.
- Partners with Division HR and function leaders to perform job evaluations to secure consistency of pay practices across areas of impacts in the organization
- Monitor the organization’s salary structure and benefit plans to ensure optimal balance between control of costs and attracting and retaining staff, as well as ensuring legal compliance.
- Continuously supports the organization’s growth plans by anticipating business needs and formulate plan adjustments accordingly.
- Work alongside Human Resources Business Partners, and Finance to provide hands-on support establishing credibility based on knowledge and experience with strategic initiatives, administration and special projects
- Vendor Management
- Participates actively in vendor selection, service level agreement definitions and contract management for vendors in connection with administration of Total Rewards programs.
- Manage internal and external partners ensuring compliance with service level agreements and efficient administration and delivery of compensation and benefit programs.
- Operational Delivery
- Manage the administration of compensation and benefit programs
- Supervise the participation in and conduct salary surveys
- Takes the lead on ad hoc special projects pertaining to Total Reward strategies
- Facilitates and controls compensation and benefits data administration and reporting via Successfactors and other related Compensation administration tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years HR experience with focus on C&B
- Fluent in English
- Experience with process design is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of Korean employment law and labor environment
- Prior experience designing and administering Compensation and Benefits programs
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills: ability to draw conclusions from numerical data and derive strategies
- Strong computer skills and data savvy, able to adjust to various data sources quickly
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across all levels of a complex, culturally diverse matrix organization: natural ability to engage others into buying into a vision or a solution, while keeping an open mind to others opinions
- Strong level of autonomy and self-accountability; acquired ability to formulate solutions prior to escalating issues and keep sensitive of all risks and impacts of solutions.
- Able to work as part of a team and coordinate activities with other departments in an engaging way/ no silo mentality
- Ability to work under time and results pressure, tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Excellent project management skills with hands-on attitude: ability to drive and manage projects from concept to roll-out execution
- Strong ability to follow-through, persistence to add value and elevate quality
