Key Account Manager – Benelux (Temporary position – 6 months)

Job Description – Key Account Manager – Benelux

Responsibilities

As Key Account Manager your job consists of 3 main parts:

1/ Key Account Management in The Netherlands: This includes the responsibility to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with our two largest retail partner and by contributing and driving omni-channel category growth. You will be a key person of the Commercial team and work very closely with the Marketing, Digital and Customer Service team in The Netherlands with a high exposition to Shiseido and our client’s top management.

2/ Key Account Management in Belgium: You will also have to manage in cooperation with the commercial director, our Belgium Key Account Manager that is the main point of contact of our largest clients in Belgium meanwhile having the accountability on these accounts.

3/ Retail Development and management of the Beauty consultants (6) + Field & Education Coach (1).

 

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities could be (among others):

Key Account Management

In the Netherlands:

  • Keep the day to day contact person of both key accounts and all categories
  • Prepare Lead, and follow-up on; business updates, newness meetings, year review meetings the two key account
  • Follow up on reporting, analysis, action plans by category and by key account
  • Sell-in launches and sets, from negotiations to on-shelf incl. GWP /sample support;
  • Deep understanding of sell-in/ sell-out results and commercial needs / opportunities from the clients to be transferred in a solid action plan driving category growth
  • Deep understanding of your business and your customer, delivering the company objectives; Market Share and gross sales + net sales in line with budgets and targets
  • Develop and implement the key account strategy and plans in line with company priorities the two key accounts
  • Work together with Marketing to develop the annual account objectives, ambitions and plans to achieve the ambition. Help preparation yearly coop meetings (jointed marketing activities with retailer to support our beautiful brands)
  • Achieve the company retail objectives on total, brand, account and store level
  • Development of E-Retail plans in collaboration with Digital team;

In Belgium:

  • Manage the same tasks as in the Netherlands but with the support of a local Belgium Key Account Manager


Retail Management

  • Manage, motivate, support, and develop the team of Beauty Consultants (6) and a Field & Education coach (1).
  • Monitor and optimize daily planning of the visits of the team to ensure maximum impact on sales and Shiseido Group brands image.
  • Ensure the team has all the necessary tools, information, and support to succeed.
  • Cooperate with Marketing and the Client to create and execute retailer specific sell-out plans.
  • Ensure great execution of agreed plans at the point of sales to drive sell-out results.
    • Animations focused on newness or promotion
    • Optimized shelf positioning and merchandising
  • Own and drive the sell-out of two largest retail partner in the Netherlands:
    • Analyze past results.
    • Plan sell-out by Beauty Consultant per event or sell-out day.
    • Plan sell-out by brand on total level by week.
    • Define and implement growth levers to deliver higher results
  • Report regularly to the organization on in-depth analysis of sell-out data.
  • Collect and report regularly to the organization on relevant information from the field.
  • Build deep knowledge about and relationships with retailer (Field and HQ).
  • Accurately identify and define opportunities for growth.
  • Help align the organization on the priorities of the brands at clients.

Skills & Competencies

  • Academic/Master degree.
  • Team Management experience.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and potential for people development and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to keep track of all current relevant priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret and develop immediate action plans.
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management abilities, both internally and externally.

 

Profile

Education

  • WO University Degree (preferably Master’s Degree).

Languages

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French would be an asset

Experience

  • Min. 3-5 years of working experience in Commercial or Retail in a fast paced Luxury or FMCG company.
  • Experience working at/with national key accounts (Ahold, Douglas, ICI PARIS XL, JUMBO, …).
  • Experience in developing cross-functional projects related to the in-store experience.
  • Experience in working with Category Management or Trade Marketing is an asset.
  • Experience in working with a Field Sales Force is an asset.
  • Experience in the cosmetics industry is an asset.
