Job Summary

Searching for an outgoing, professional, flexible individual who wants to be part of an ever growing team of creative and diverse people. The Senior Artist role is primarily to service the retail customers and to sell the NARS brand through means of application and technical expertise and events. The main objective is to maximize sales and build brand awareness alongside supporting the training department throughout the BENELUX.

 

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Full-time 40hr contract - working one day in the weekend
  • 4 days in our NARS counters – 1 day with higher focus on PR/ events/ artistry capabilities building

Avg. 1-2 office days per month - proficient skills in Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Consistently able to achieve team & personal sales targets, event goals and average unit sale goals per door
  • Conveying NARS techniques and service expectations instore to team members by leading by example
  • Attending to the needs of the customer in a highly responsive and professional manner
  • Responding to and satisfying the requests of the account manager quickly, professionally and efficiently through weekly meetings and monthly reports
  • Developing and maintaining positive and productive ongoing relationships with clients, team members, influencers, management and retailers
  • Inspire client group and teams through teaching and development to generate and sustain excitement about the brand
  • Attend special PR events and perform makeovers to promote NARS
  • Adhere to company protocols and uphold image standards, inc. wearing exclusively NARS while representing the company
  • Present NARS in a positive light and promote at every opportunity via NARS & personal Social Media channels
  • Participate in yearly corporate marketing programs and EMEA/Global training summit
  • Being present on counter for designated special events (deBijenkorf, Skins Cosmetics, Parfuma)
  • Planning schedules with account managers around promotional calendar

 

Qualifications / skills required

  • College qualifications in makeup artistry preferred
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience in beauty, retail and or management
  • Passionate about make-up and its trends, NARS brand DNA
  • High standard of communication, leadership, training and presentation skills
  • Proactivity on opportunity definition to further develop the brand and its equity on the Dutch market#
  • High energy level and ability to achieve a positive work environment
  • Ability to coach more junior team members and share the ’sky is the limit’ mindset
  • Flexibility on agenda (e.g., support to ad-hoc eventing on counters meanwhile maintaining sales development as a priority)
