Job Summary:

Senior Manager will interact with the Brand, Markets & Factories for their respective brand and lead manage Supply Planners as aligned to the organization. 

Work with the pillar leader to drive ownership and accountability for service, inventory, and cost throughout all stages of the Supply Planning process.

Support the improvement, optimization, and harmonization of the Regional Planning Process, including, but not limited to; service, inventory, cost, and on-time delivery of projects for all products within their portfolio.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with factories and CMs, and in line with the planning practices to define the run strategies for the various product types and class within their brand portfolio (e.g., ABC class, Promo’s, launches, on-going kits, etc.) that maximize service potential and minimize cost and inventory risk
  • In alignment with the planning best practices, define inventory policies to allow forecasts to be accurately translated into manufacturing production schedules in support of the defined run strategies and business objectives. 
  • Work with the factories and CMs leaders to ensure the implementation and use of the most efficient, cost-effective manufacturing strategies by product type while ensuring that production lead times are challenged and reduced to the lowest possible level in keeping with agreed distribution strategies.
  • Create and measure KPIs for the Planning Team they manage, focusing on developing and executing action plans focused on constant improvement of Service and Inventory.
  • Track inventory levels of Finished goods, components, WIP and raw materials to ensure they stay within planned levels. Monitor Excess and Obsolete inventory and drive Root Cause Problem Solving and action planning/execution to reduce E&O.
  • Support the S&OP process, by reporting and communicating monthly; root cause analysis for missed KPIs (service & inventory), identifying future supply constraints (by item, product family, supplier, etc.) and communicating inabilities to meet new launch supply strategies.
  • Provide clear & transparent visibility to all roadblocks in being able to support Brands demand plans to achieve financial targets.

  • Internal Manufacturing & External Operations
  • Brand Teams (Marketing, Marketing Ops, Sales, Sales Ops, NPD, Forecasting)
  • IT, Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Transportation & Customer Service


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Supply & Capacity Planning (DRP/MRP)
  • 3-5 years of experience operating at a manager-level in a supply chain role with working knowledge of End-to-End Supply Chain operations, ideally in a manufacturing or supplier environment
  • 3-5 years of experience working within an ERP/MRP environment at an advanced level (SAP/ IBP experience a plus).
  • Action and results oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Customer and consumer focused with attention to detail while being able to see the “big picture,”
  • Ability to lead others through example, setting standards for performance, and creating accountability
  • 4-year academic degree in relevant field or related job experience
  • APICS exposure and CPIM certification a plus
