What will be your main responsibilities?

 

Lead the whole forecasting process for a list of brands/markets on the short/mid/long term horizon

 

Generate & calibrate the statistical forecast in IBP for specific Markets (Export, Switzerland, Benelux) :

    • Compare and select the best statistical model, algorithms & trends parameters
    • Adjust calculation rules according to product life cycle models
    • Correct historical sales and analyze forecast error to smooth future statistical forecast
    • Activate corrective action plan to improve Forecast Accuracy
    • Enrich demand plan with specific local information (market intelligence) (specific events, distribution change, cannibalization) based on marketing strategies

 

Analyze and challenge Markets forecast consistency (markets with Local Forecasters) :

    • Identify & share the skus for which corrective action needs to be activated to improve Forecast Accuracy
    • Analyze & share trends/skus recommendations to Markets, with cross segmentation ABC/XYZ
    • Analyze & suggest carry over for next months, based on over/under consumption
    • Co-lead with local forecasters to identify areas to close gaps between Forecast-Budget
    • Support the assortment rationalization by recommending slow movers per Brand
    • Validate Markets forecast from Regional perspective to be sent to production
    • Lead the Regional reconciliation between forecast and financial budget :
    • In volumes : participate in Budget exercise to estimate projection in volumes per Line/Subline
    • In value Gross Sales : identify the gaps per Line/Subline, action corrective plans to close the gap
    • Liaise with markets to escalate gaps/root cause/next steps in Regional S&OP process

 

Co-animate the monthly Demand Review meeting (direct connection with Local Forecasters) :

    • Ensure that Brand guidelines are applied by Markets & understand the misalignments vs Markets
    • Understand & rechallenge the Market key facts : local business update (share markets, COVID, economics), Forecast Accuracy (root cause, action plan, next steps), market intelligence (changes vs previous month, impact on Forecast), launch performance (alert about over/under consumption and action plan), financial reconciliation (analyze & list risks/opportunities to close the gap between Forecasts and budget)
    • Participate actively in S&OP process in EMEA & with Brandholder : prepare & share Forecast KPIs & Reconciliation

 

Who are you?

 

  • Graduated of a Master Degree
  • Previous professional experience in Forecast / Demand Planning
  • Solid Excel expertise
  • Strong analytics competencies with huge numbers of data
