JOB PURPOSE

 

To support the continuous development, adaptation and deployment of the global NARS brand Marketing Calendar and strategy across the EMEA region in order to achieve sales, market share and deliver profit goals

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

MARKETING

 

  • Adapt the Global Marketing Calendar and facilitate the implementation of the activation campaigns in the relevant markets

 

  • Identify and leverage opportunities to support Sephora EMEA with specific marketing campaigns: gaps in products portfolio, Sephora EMEA exclusive product innovations, support for Sephora ”Partis-Pris” campaigns, previews, promotions, (EDG, podium, plots, makeup stations etc.), Hot Bets, Holiday gifting, etc.

 

  • Work with Global Marketing and Product Development teams to channel innovations and exclusive assets per retailer and in a timely manner

 

  • Lead and attend weekly touch base calls with Sephora EMEA Category Manager

 

  • Provide ongoing support for the EMEA senior management team on key projects such as preparation of budget meetings, business analysis, preparation of presentations with Sephora management.

 

 

 

CATALOGUE MANAGEMENT AND FORECASTING

 

  • In liaison with Global Marketing, manage the seasonal evolution of the NARS product line-up

 

  • Using available retail sales data as well as competitor information (e.g. NPD, IRI) and insider knowledge obtained through Sephora contacts, carry out regular evaluation of our line-up to ensure it meets consumer trends in the EMEA Sephora markets and allows NARS to compete with other brands

 

  • Work with Sephora buyer + EMEA markets to validate each seasonal evolution of the Open-Sell planograms and assortments by configuration

 

 

  • Support EMEA markets throughout the novelty forecasting process (saleable, tester, sample, visual merchandising)

 

    • In liaison with Marketing Manager establish EMEA line-up for all new launches + permanent catalogue

 

    • Analyse forecasts before submission to Sephora EMEA buyer, Marketing Manager and EMEA Demand Planning as well as the relevant entities in New York and Paris HQ.

 

  • In liaison with Product Manager, work with the EMEA and Global Demand Planning teams to ensure go-to-market cycles for novelty and main catalogue products to adhered to

 

  • Carry out monthly measurement of novelties shipment to Sephora Saran and Velezzo  + OOS impact on net sales

 

 

 

VISUAL MERCHANDISING

 

  • Lead the Open Sell Seasonally merchandising updates process

 

  • In partnership with VM team, oversee stock of gondolas and anticipate future needs by liaising closely with the markets and monitoring their opening plans; ensure on-time delivery of new stocks of gondolas +seasonal updates from vendors

 

 

REPORTING & INSIGHTS

 

  • Lead monthly sell-out reporting and share key learnings and recommendations with Marketing Manager and US Brands Director.

 

 

SEPHORA SPECIFICS

 

  • In collaboration with Product manager, manage the collation and submission of all information requested by Sephora for each product launch: Assortment file, Creative File, Pricing, Product Formula, Volatile Content, etc.

 

  • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, organise and attend each bi-annual Sephora market week (April and October).

 

 

WHO ARE YOU ?

 

  • Graduate with a relevant business degree
  • Demonstrable Marketing Management experience at mid-management level –  3 to 6 years’ experience.
  • Required Language Proficiency Fluent English, French is a plus
  • Previous industry experience and/or solid knowledge / interest for the makeup sector
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy and flexibility
  • Demonstrable experience of brand marketing with involvement and understanding of the key marketing processes, such as:
    • Analysis and reporting of retail data (NPD etc.)
    • Sales forecasting
    • Project management
    • Promotion and point of sale management, etc.
  • Ability to influence, and negotiate with, internal and external partners, across various culture (Europe, Middle East and US) in order to achieve company goals
  • A good balance of strategic and operational, consumer-centric marketing
  • Comfortable working in a busy changing environment with matrix structure
  • Good working knowledge of the EMEA cosmetics market
  • Good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
