JOB SUMMARY

The Training Executive, reporting to the Director of Training, is a sales-driving educator responsible for elevating artistry, skincare expertise, and fragrance storyselling across all brands in the portfolio. This transversal role plans, prepares, and executes regional training strategies, onboarding, seasonal launches, retail coaching, and event support to inspire and engage teams, thereby directly impacting KPIs and overall retail performance. The role maintains a strong in-store presence and partners closely with the Director of Training to ensure excellence in execution and brand representation throughout their respective region. The Training Executive is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing on Field and Retail Education initiatives to drive achievement of Sales plan. The TE is the regional support market partner to the Sales and Training Executives delivering inspiration and engagement across Shiseido Americas Brands: Shiseido, Cle de Peau, Fragrances, NARS, Dr. Dennis Gross and Drunk Elephant and Hermes.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • You will link education to measurable sales outcomes (conversion, UPT, ATV, sell-through).
  • You will provide transversal coverage across portfolio brands to standardize excellence while adapting by channel.
  • You will build field capability in Makeup Artistry, Skincare Physiology, and Fragrance Storytelling that elevates client experience and drives loyalty.
  • You will accelerate launch readiness and door execution through targeted training, tools, and in-store coaching.
  • You will strengthen retailer partnerships and event ROI through hands-on support during key periods.
  • You will lead education initiatives, new door openings, events and KPI’s, in partnership with the Sales and Training Executives in the regions.
  • You will represent the brands in image, artistry, education, passion and productivity.
  • You will uphold the individual Brand Guidelines, including team and counter image, utilizing MAPPP™ framework to govern the strategy.
  • You will onboard new Field Employees: Sales and Training Executives, Flagship teams, Counter Managers, Freelancers etc.
  • You will execute education plans for Open-Sell, DSS, and Specialty to ensure KPI’s are achieved and prioritized based on door volume and needs of the region.
  • You will partner with Regional Directors and Sales and Training executives to strengthen and grow brand KPI’s.
  • You will build strong retailer relationships to broaden awareness and partnerships for both the portfolio, in the market.
  • You will ensure hero/key sku’s, and new launch, are at the forefront of training curriculums for the Retailer populations.
  • You will provide in-store support during key timeframes based on business needs, determined by Director of Training and in partnership with Regional Sales Director’s.
  • You will implement social media presence to promote the Brands, inclusive of events, support, and engagement strategies.
  • You will adhere to budget management commitments: financial responsibility inclusive of travel and expense, training and seminar engagements, to preserve profitability.
  • You will maintain a cohesive monthly schedule that aligns with territory volume, call cycle, top volume door focus, as well as business needs.
  • You will uphold Brand Dress Code Guidelines & consistently demonstrate a polished and professional appearance, frequently changing makeup styles to reflect current trends by wearing seasonal looks.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and navigate multiple teams.
  • You are self-motivated and positive, aligning and engaging with the organization’s visions.
  • You can work a flexible schedule (typical work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday), including weekends and holidays, to meet team objectives.
  • You will maintain a cohesive monthly schedule aligned with territory volume, call cycle, and business needs.

 

WHO YOU ARE 

 

  • You must have the ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • You have a minimum 8 years in Retail Cosmetics and selling environments with a proven track record of success.
  • You have advanced proficiency in Makeup Artistry, Skincare Physiology, and Fragrance Storytelling & Sales.
  • You are a confident presenter and facilitator across in-person and virtual formats; strong leadership.
  • You have effective communication skills in fast-paced environments.
  • You are a collaborative influencer who builds positive relationships across levels and functions.
  • You are savvy in competitor environments and open-selling environments
  • You can speak in large groups, in-person, and virtually with confidence and leadership presence
  • You have strong presentation skills over various forums, with a heightened focus on digital platforms
  • You have effective planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • You can interact with all levels of management in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • You can work collaboratively and build positive/effective business relationships
  • You can manage budget and expenses
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Skills
  • You can lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
  • You have a valid driver’s license

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
