The Senior Manager, Ecommerce Merchandising is responsible for developing core and promotion assortments, forecasting daily KPIs and sales performance, and leading the site merchandising strategy for the U.S. BareMinerals web and mobile sites to ensure the customer experience is consistent with industry best practices and optimized based on site performance data. This role also leads strategy and execution for the subscription program. The Senior Manager must be a strong collaborator and will work closely with key internal stakeholders which include US & Global ecommerce, U.S. marketing, Boutiques, the Americas Digital Transformation (ADX) group, Fulfillment, Customer Service, digital I.T, and digital creative. This role has one direct report, Ecommerce Coordinator.  This role reports into the Executive Director of U.S. Ecommerce.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

E-com assortment planning and site merchandising

  • Leads site merchandising and assortment planning for U.S sites (web and mobile)
  • Manages the strategic merchandising and marketing vision for digital storefront including oversight of products and promotions, execution of excess inventory opportunities, and alignment with company product launch efforts.
  • Develops strategy and forecasts for the subscription program in partnership with the vendor and executes new functionality in partnership with I.T.
  • Maintains close relationship with Fulfillment and Customer Service teams to ensure commerce initiatives are supported with sufficient inventory.
  • Builds and executes the content calendar, associated creative briefs and signs off on final site experience.
  • Strategizes and develops specific site hierarchy structures in partnership with global ecommerce.
  • Influences cross-functional business leaders in establishing business objectives and goals by collaborating with business functions

 

Analytics and Financial planning

  • Partners with Sales Operations to set the sales plan and manage the forecast, establishing the open-to-buy for E-Com and Subscription in alignment with the boutiques.
  • Prioritizes efforts based on strategic importance and sales potential
  • Partners with the ADX and Global ecommerce to identify content, category or campaign level key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and forecasts by analyzing performance data to identify opportunities and issues
  • Develops dashboard as reporting tool and communicate campaign successes to internal business partners across the organization

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 – 5 years ecommerce experience
  • 6 – 7 years retail sales or merchandising experience required
  • Bachelor‘s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and high degree of Excel skills preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and as an individual contributor
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are required
  • Forward-thinking, resourceful and curious
  • Basic knowledge of HTML coding, CSS, web and graphics applications, and XML data feeds
