Senior Manager, Digital Marketing (Drunk Elephant)
Job Summary:
The Digital Marketing Senior Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Global E-Commerce & CRM and is responsible for supporting and executing the marketing strategy for Drunkelephant.com, as well as partnering with regional ecommerce teams to deliver against short and long terms goals. The role oversees the Digital Associate Manager and coordinates closely with the marketing, creative, education and operations team to grow Drunk Elephant’s global sales in a sustainable way that is in line with the company’s philosophy of honesty and transparency.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead overall site strategy and operations and oversee maintenance, including asset management for all products and content management globally
- Continually monitor and update content and pages to ensure they stay current (ex. Homepage, Philosophy, FAQs, Press, etc.).
- Work closely with regions to create, plan and manage sampling initiatives, including general samples and deluxe sample promotional programs.
- Lead all product launches on site, including building out product pages, managing all content associated with product page (copy, images, video), updating sampling initiatives, and updating “companion products”, as well as work with creative and development to launch associated site assets and landing pages.
- Analyze site data and identify opportunities on brand site, partnering with US, global ecommerce and tech teams to implement new feature/functionality.
Digital Marketing:
- Partner with the marketing and creative teams to drive company-wide marketing initiatives and optimize them in a digital environment while keeping true to the brand’s ideals and philosophy.
- Align with marketing to create a digital 360 marketing plan for product launches throughout the year, including a review of site assets, channel touch points, cross-department communication, and website execution for domestic and international sites.
- Partner with Executive Director to oversee email program process and all marketing campaigns by working with key members of creative and marketing: manage submission of all creative briefs, ideate concepts for messaging, create timelines to adhere to, and deploy final assets.
- Maintain updated marketing calendar with all current programs and offers and distribute to key stakeholders and teams including Digital, Marketing, Creative, Customer Service, and Operations.
- Ensure all new products, site promotions, content assets and pages are properly set-up, scheduled and tested on site prior to launch to ensure compatibility and a high user experience across browsers, on both desktop and mobile.
- Work cross-functionally with education, global marketing, sales and regions to develop informative site content for customer research, as well as ensure that all content aligns with the brand and product messaging in store and on retailer sites.
- Work with search agency to create on-brand copy for Adword campaigns, including specific campaign initiatives (not based on launches, ex reviews campaign), seasonal offerings and product launches.
- Partner closely with regional digital teams for ad hoc and ongoing SEO needs. Scale and communicate SEO best practices, initiatives and on-site activations to all regional digital teams year-round and during key events and activations for the brand.
- Ensure that all third-party vendors and partners are up to date on upcoming launches, programs and communication.
International:
- Align with International GM to coordinate market expansion and flagship expansion.
- Work with marketing and international teams to create launch strategies for new product launches, core SKU rollouts, and new site launches.
- Manage SKU offerings and variations across markets by ensuring that all assets and content are correct for the applicable region.
- Execute and lead overall site operations and maintenance, including asset and management for all products, monitoring and updating content and pages to stay fresh, and building out all new-launch product pages and associated assets.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 6+ years e-Commerce experience across multiple functions; CRM, site development, SEO, sampling and promotions (Beauty/Fashion Retail industry experience preferred).
- Excellent communicator, able to build strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally.
- People management experience preferred.
- Business experience with web commerce platforms and technologies, specifically Salesforce Commerce Cloud a plus.
- Superior project management skills, including the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and to meet deadlines with sense of urgency.
