Description: 

The Shiseido Summer Internship program is a paid, full time 9-week program for college rising Juniors or Seniors starting June 3rd through August 2nd. We are committed to your professional development so during your time here, you can expect to participate in meaningful projects, networking, professional development workshops, speaker series, volunteer activities, and you will also have the opportunity to connect with your global peers across the world!  

 

We are seeking a passionate, motivated and analytical Summer Intern to join our Consumer Insights and Marketing Intelligence (CIMI) team. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in helping the CIMI team drive the success of Shiseido Americas by bringing a richer and deeper understanding of consumer needs to reinforce customer-centric business strategies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CIMI team with primary research needs, such as writing/programming surveys, crafting discussion guides, analyzing consumer data, and creating presentations
  • Support our insights communities by helping craft and analyze quick polls, surveys, and forums
  • Learn industry research tools, including but not limited to Suzy, Mintel, Wonderflow, etc.
  • Conduct competitor / trends analysis in the beauty space
  • Help the team keep up-to-date with the latest trends and news in the beauty, luxury, and retail spaces
  • Own and fully execute a research project from start to finish, including creating a research objective, designing the methodology, fielding the research, analyzing the data, and presenting the final insights to stakeholders

 

Requirements:

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree  
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized 
  • Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented 
  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment 
  • Have a passion for cosmetics, beauty industry and consistently keeping up-to-date with trends  
  • Strong curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • Proactive with a self-starter mentality, strong team player and collaborative nature
