JOB SUMMARY
The International Marketing Director role will oversee international marketing and efforts for Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare. The role’s primary objective is to grow the brand in existing international markets including but not limited to EMEA and APAC ensuring long term profitable growth and brand awareness. This position is responsible for 360 marketing support including calendars, launch strategies, media, distribution, pricing, forecasting support and VM planning.
He/She will manage the marketing relationship with retailers, distributors, and long term will also oversee SAC affiliates including but not limited to the Americas, EMEA and APAC regional teams. Through strategic vision, strong partnership and clear communication, he/she will help ensure that business priorities are met and that markets have what they need to drive the business with strong 360 marketing activations. This position will also help ensure that markets follow brand guidelines locally to build global brand image consistency, strong brand equity and outstanding business results. He/She will need to own, plan and track results and budgets. He/She will work in very close partnership with the Executive Director of Business Development to deliver the international targets; and collaborate closely with global brand, creative, regulatory and ops teams.
This position will require strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, a high sensitivity to timeline management and the ability to foster effective relationships with internal and external partners.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Coordinates international marketing and planning for all markets except NA
- Creates clear, focused action plans and delivers brand aligned 360 support for markets/key retailers to deliver outstanding business results, in line with targets
- Tailor, maximize and ensure smooth execution of global campaigns including new launches
- Helps to communicate the brand vision, values and approach to the retailers and distributors (and Regions in future) to ensure consistency
- In partnership with the Global teams (Global Marketing, Product Development, Visual Merchandising, Creative, Education, Digital, PR / Influence, Finance and Operations) help to drive alignment, synergies + flawless execution on all plans.
- Act as subject matter for market needs with Global team
- Prepare Monthly Retail reporting for Senior Management, collaborating with the Regions and International team to include business performance commentary
- Devise and execute retailer-specific calendars and 360 marketing plans – including sampling, eventing, education, PR etc
- Create and deliver bespoke Market Week decks for international retailers
- Create and track Trade Marketing Calendar
- Ensure International markets implement new product launches & campaigns in line with Global Marketing strategy
- Brief Global teams on any regional, market or retailer-specific needs
- Strategize and ensure execution of co-op media investments and partner with Global team & INTL leadership to approve media plans for each market
- Ensure appropriate cadence & execution of VM updates with Creative to ensure alignment with regions/markets for permanent merchandising, trade activations and events
- Negotiate marketing support & activations with retailers/distributors
- Oversee launch and POSM forecast guidelines, helping markets to dimension new launches. Ensure that forecasts are submitted on time
- Ensure assortment is appropriate by market & launching in a timely manner in partnership with Regulatory and Operations. Provide details needed for markets to update retailer sku set up forms in a timely manner
- Conduct annual pricing review, respecting pricing guidelines established by Global
- Lead the annual International pricing review and suggest pricing for new launches, following pricing structure and guidelines established by Global Marketing. Review market pricing with leadership
- Brief, ensure timely delivery & approval process for all creative requests (including digital assets, events, printed materials, VM assets, trade activities etc.. Ensure all approved projects are submitted with a complete brief that respects Creative timelines
- Work with Retailers/ Distributors – and in the future with Markets/Regions - to drive digital business. Ensure global consistency of brand and p-pages. Review proposals for e-retail, digital, social & CRM activities, ensuring alignment with the brand’s approach. Brief in assets as needed
- Gather feedback from International markets on launches and marketing activities to share with Global teams
- Conceive and ensure execution of educational and communications plans discussed with partners with internal cross functional teams

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
