Job Summary:

 

The Coordinator of Product Development, Core Product Portfolio will assist the Core Color Team to execute innovative permanent products that drive the NARS business reporting into the Senior Manager. This role supports day to day functions necessary to drive core color programs including managing internal tracking systems required for a seamless launch.  They will also assist in maintaining the Color Ingredient List tracker & quarterly new launch ingredient transparency publications with the guidance of the Senior Manager.

 

This candidate will focus on learning the foundational skills of product development and must be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Strong work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, and openness to feedback are key for this role. A successful candidate will leverage their passion for product development while also prioritizing their organizational & time management skills.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Senior Manager on all core color product development initiatives from concept to production.
  • Set up and maintain all internal systems required to kick off a program: Devex, MDG, & SAP. 
  • Update all internal documentation related to product launches to ensure consistency across all project platforms. 
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Manager and Assistant Manager create packaging manuscripts to execute and track artwork and due dates in the Dragonfly system. 
  • Assist Core Color Team on creation and execution of marketing bulletins with attention to detail and tracking forecasting samples to be distributed globally.
  • Coordinate product samples for brand needs including artwork requests, vendor presentations, comp needs, steering committee, and key stakeholder evaluation.
  • Assist in maintaining a master IL file for NARS core products – existing and new – in partnership with AIC and CM.
    • Partner with AIC, CM and complexion team to publish ingredient transparency documents for all new launches; evolve formats & content as needed to meet market needs.
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Assist core color team in target cost process by learning the SAP system and pulling existing product costs.
  • Participate in weekly forums adding thoughtful contributions to Global Marketing meetings and Artwork status.
  • Support core color team by evaluating standards and preproduction submissions, providing prompt feedback to CMs and ensuring all samples are labeled and organized. 
  • Learn and hone foundational product development skills from Senior Manager and Assistant Manager (i.e. color and formula evaluation, brand guidelines, testing requirements, quality expectations etc.)
  • General team support: competitive product purchase, swatch photos/videos, new product orders, closet organization and maintenance etc.

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

 

  • 6+ Months – 1 year of experience – counting internships preferably in beauty
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Microsoft Office software
  • Open and willing to learn and incorporate feedback
