Job Summary: 

The position of the Digital Media Coordinator will be joining a best-in-class marketing team working in one of the most dynamic and fast-moving industries - the US Prestige Skincare Market.  The role will support both the brand Shiseido and Clé de Peau Beauté businesses and understand their unique points of difference within the market.

This individual will support the team in developing the US paid media strategy across brand and retailer coop, and play a key role in the execution of digital activations that drive US business objectives. The ideal candidate should have an interest in beauty or fashion, as well as strong motivation to be involved with cross-functional teams.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in streamlining communication with digital media agency
  • Assist Senior Manager in the development of US-centric digital media strategy and briefing process
  • Own ad unit copy and asset organization, along with creative matrix completion
  • Partner and collaborate with cross functional teams such as Global Marketing, Sell-in, Ecomm, Communications and Channel teams
  • Write design and copy briefings for the creation of assets – providing creative thought starters and messaging direction based on best practices, competitive
  • Manage and traffic assets and/or content changes through necessary approval channels – ensuring accuracy, on-time release 
  • Assist in digital display and social asset development & issuing process, working with cross functional copy and project management teams
  • Assist with paid influencer programming selection and product send outs. Work to monitor and evaluate influencer programming success
  • Help vet and assist in potential partnerships with new/relevant digital partnerships
  • Support relationships and communication with key partners (social platforms, retailer coop agencies/counterparts)
  • Own and maintain accuracy of media calendars, FY ad outlines deck
  • Research digital competitive analysis across key platforms (TikTok, IG etc) as well as keep abreast on relevant industry news/innovations, lead Monthly Competitive Snapshot in partnership with R.com and Ecommerce teams
  • Maintain department invoice tracker and keep track of media invoice payout
  • Assist in the development of brand presentations, including sales meeting decks, market decks, internal business reviews, etc.
  • Provide administrative as needed to marketing teams
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Unlock consumer insights by leveraging CMI tools such as 1010 Data, ProQuo
  • Help compile recap reports and consolidate key performance insights for broad cross-functional meetings
  • Assisting in the forecasting process by creating timelines, forecasting fact sheets and preparing of the forecasting sheets.
  • Analyze performance and consolidate feedback of past launch campaigns
  • Adhoc business or competitive analyses as needed

  • Assist in Digital Media budget day-to-day maintenance.
  • Code brand invoices and track vs. Finance team’s internal tracker

Qualifications & Competencies: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field required
  • Organization and prioritization with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
  • Prior experience in marketing, merchandising, digital or related field (inclusive of internships)
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use editing/design apps such as CapCuts a plus
  • Strong understanding of key digital platforms and capabilities (TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, YT)
  • Team oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and administrative skills
  • Resourceful, takes initiative, self-starter, strong work ethic
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail and ability to multitask and respond to changing priorities
  • Knowledge on current digital media trends, industry news, entertainment/pop culture and retail innovation   
  • Strong project management, presentation and business writing skills
  • Strong interest in beauty industry and knowledge of competitive marketplace
  • A creative problem solver, with a strong attention to detail
  • Previous intern experience and a proven track record required
  • Excellent excel/PowerPoint, self-starter, takes initiative, can multi-task, great attitude, great inter-personal skills
