Senior Planner, New Product Development
Job Summary:
New Product Development is responsible for working with cross functionally to deliver launches on time, at cost and at the correct package conception and product quality.
This role demands strong project management and communication skills, as well as basic package development and executional abilities. Dedication to detail, process and discipline with packaging and cost details is required. High collaboration with Japan HQ counterparts with monthly even calls for status updates.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that all new launches deliver on time, at the target cost and at the quality of the HQ Brand’s conception.
- The individual will be required to drive multiple projects and work with cross functional partners to ensure the required project tasks and key milestones are completed on time.
- Utilize timeline management with MS project and updating timelines on weekly/monthly bases. Ensure all critical milestones are on track and elevate any risk to avoid delays to ATS.
- Communicate to all levels (including Senior leaders) of cross-functional teams the status of project milestones and costs.
- Lead launch risk mitigation and problem-solving process for high complexity launches and new innovations.
- Will work in multiple systems and software to manage timelines, costs and launch execution.
- Will lead and drive all project status meetings across all levels of the organization
- Assist resolution of Package Quality issues
- Laisse with the Packaging lab to dimension and execute testing as needed

Qualifications & Competencies:
- 2-3 years of experience in either a technical or project management role. Experience in package development role and in the beauty industry is preferred.
- Project management experience is required and MS Project. Suitable candidates will be cross trained appropriately. Packaging Engineering experience will be helpful.
- Basic understanding of end to end product development and launch process
- Some degree of analytical, financial and organization skills required
- Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills required
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (especially MS Project or like as project management tools, Excel, power point)
- Must be action oriented and able to deliver results as the candidate will serve as the point person for all cross functional teams on launch related matters
- Ability to build a strong network and work with a team to deliver launches
- Entrepreneurial spirit: taking initiative and drive clarity and resolution
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferred degrees include: Engineering (all specialties), Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Business
