Job Summary:

The position of the Channel Marketing Intern/Co-op will be joining a best-in-class marketing team working on the US Luxury Beauty Market. In this role, you will gain full exposure into the exquisite world of Clé de Peau Beauté, and how we conduct business with US retailers such as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Amazon. The ideal candidate should have an interest in Luxury Skincare and Cosmetics, as well as strong self-motivation to be involved with and learn all functions of the marketing department. This role will report to the Channel Marketing Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

The role of the Clé de Peau Beauté US Channel Marketing Intern is to partner with the full Marketing team to support the development and execution of channel marketing plans. The intern will have the opportunity to learn about the luxury beauty landscape including merchandising strategy, sampling and GWP programming, promotional activations, event animations, spa and clientele services, and execute A+ product launches.

 

  • Assist in the ideation and execution of all US retailer programming, monthly POSM allocations, quarterly tester replenishment, recruitment programs and retailer-specific requests.
  • Support marketing teams in localized development and execution of marketing/visual merchandising materials for all US retailer accounts through creative brief submission requests to creative digital, print and VM teams.
  • Maintain and update all retailer-specific documents such as calendars, brand plans, new product submission forms and activation presentations.
  • Assist in performance results tracking of the retailer promotional calendar to maximize effectiveness of every calendar moment, ensure brand visibility across all consumer touch points, and synergize brand placements with Integrated teams.
  • Support marketing & education teams in executing operational excellence for day to day Synactif Spa activity via tracking & shipping synactif machines, spa tools, linens and towels, broken parts, and replacement tools.
  • Track and analyze retailer (Co-op) exposures, visual weeks, spa service landscape, and product competitive on a monthly basis for reporting to Tokyo HQ.
  • Perform competitive analysis on omni-channel retailer landscape, beauty trends, best in class media, R.com competitive, and product launches via NPD, online search, and store visits.
  • Assist brand marketing team with PDP audit on top 30 SKUs across all Retailer.com
  • Assist in bi-annual retailer Market Meetings by updating Market decks and coordinating with cross functional teams.
  • Support product closet maintenance by checking inventory and ordering new products as needed.
  • Partner and collaborate with cross functional teams such as Brand Marketing, Sales, Sales Development, Media/Integrated Communications, Business Operations, Visual Merchandising, Store Design, New Product Development, and PR teams.
  • Routine shipping, tracking, and processing intake forms for all retailer samples used for marketing exposures, photoshoots and online placements.
  • Special projects as assigned.

 

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Part time availability for NYC-based rising college junior and seniors working towards abachelorsdegree  
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Team oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and administrative skills
  • Energetic self-starter who is resourceful, results-oriented and has strong work ethic
  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment 
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail and ability to multitask and respond to changing priorities
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Passion for cosmetics, beauty industry and consistently keeping up-to-date with trends  
  • Prior experience in marketing, merchandising, sales, digital or related field
  • Majors: Business related majors

Hybrid Work Environment

  • Candidates will be required to spend 3 days in-office per week. In this hybrid plan, all other workdays will be remote. However, this is subject to change, and candidates should be prepared for the likelihood of an increase in required in-office days throughout the 6-month period (June – December)
