Job Summary:

The Manager, Global Demand Planning, Lifecycle will be responsible for ensuring global demand for innovation products (both permanent and limited life) are aligned to global financial targets, product benchmarks, and historical trends. She/he will lead monthly internal review meetings to ensure the commercial organization and head of S&OP are aligned and can sign-off on affiliate/region level demand prior to PO placement to supply.

As this role is highly collaborative across both commercial and supply chain functions, she/he will work closely in tight communications with the following teams, via ad-hoc and weekly/ monthly project and status reviews

-Brand Global Marketing

-Brand Product Development

-NPD & NPC teams (Supply Chain)

-Affiliate & Regional Product Marketing & Operations teams

-International Business Development teams

-Domestic Sales and Marketing Teams

Further, this role will work in conjunction with brand global marketing and product development to shape discontinuation decisions across the global portfolio in-line with strategic brand and supply chain optimization goals. This will form the foundation of the add/delete process to ensure new launches deliver incremental growth to the global brand while minimizing supply chain impact.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal review meetings where each innovation’s global demand is rolled up and reviewed vs benchmarks and are aligned to the brands commercial leadership team and S&OP lead’s expectations
  • Direct internal teams to ensure regions and affiliates’ operations and marketing teams are delivered what they require in order to start forecasting demand for new innovation.
  • Ensure affiliate and regional demand for new innovation are loaded into SAP IBP prior to due dates
  • Facilitate communication of supply risk to affiliates/regions in conjunction with Supply planning lead
  • Engage with global marketing and product development to ensure global discontinuation decisions

  • E&O inventory within targets
  • Initiative sizing (launch aligned with internal brand targets)
  • Global service and inventory


Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 4-year bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • Major in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field a PLUS
  • 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning (beauty or CPG preferred)
  • Relevant S&OP, supply chain, data analysis, or other business planning experience a PLUS
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings to drive actions and accountability across cross-functional teams. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to peers and senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt in a highly collaborative environment, a team player, fit with the NARS brand and culture
  • Advanced excel skills: demonstrated ability to quickly manipulate large raw data sets to produce reporting that is intuitive and easy
