Title:  Group Manager - NPD Hair Color Category

Key Objectives of the Role

  • Global role to drive hair color product category for Shiseido Professional Salon business (B2B2C) across JAPAN/ASIA markets
  • Develop global category strategy, innovative NPDs (launches / renovations) and 360 marketing mix for long-term online/offline engagement at every touchpoint of customer journey for salon stylist and end consumers. 
  • Lead and develop team capabilities & performance


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define global 3 years strategy and activity plan for hair color category across JP / Asia countries
  • Color portfolio NPD management from customer insight research, brand/product concept creation, packaging design, formula briefing to 360 marketing mix incl. on/offline communication, promotion and engagement activities with customers
  • Lead seasonal campaigns for hair color/styling fashion trends with external creative agency incl. concept development, shooting, production, communication mix incl. digital /social media activities 
  • Manage category P&L, KPI tracking, SKU assortment complexity to secure sutainable, profitable growth
  • Keep track on customer insights, market trends, competitive landscape along the touchpoints of customer journey for salon stylists and end consumers to incorporate in short/mid/longterm activities 
  • Close collaboration with internal/external partners from R&D, Digital, Education, Creative Department to external communication agencies and salon partners / stylist for effective, cross-functional project management
  • Country steering and regular communicaton with country teams across Asia and Japan for successful marketing implementation, launch control and market feedback generation 
  • Lead and develop team capabilities and performance (4-6 headcounts)


Basic Requirements

  • Minimun 10-15 years NPD and marketing experience in hair cosmetic industry (preferably hair color category, B2B/B2C ok) 
  • Track record in strategic brand marketing incl. development of new products/brands, creative concept development and on/offline marketing / communication strategy for Asian markets 
  • Excellent project / timing management, multi-tasking organization skills
  • Good balance of analytical and creative skills 
  • Strong leadership and people management skills (previous team responsibility is a must)
  • Experience / understandng of different Asian markets, international working experience is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in both Japanese + English written/verbal, business level
  • Open-minded, agile, out-of the box thinking, hands-on mentality with self-driven motivation


Other Qualifications

  • Multi-cultural working experience is an advantage (especially in Global/HQ brand/marketing role) , including additional Asian language skills
  • Good sense for aesthetics, design and fashion and interest in beauty cosmetics 
  • Professional, senior profile
