MISSION

 

The Senior PR & Communications Manager will lead PR & Communications for the Shiseido and CPB brands.  You will collaborate with the PR & Communications Director  to implement and manage the UK & Ireland Communications plans via multi-media channels. You will maintain and cultivate key media and influencer relationships keeping the Shiseido and CPB brands at the forefront of their minds within the industry and marketplace to increase brand awareness, affinity and ultimately drive sales and maximise business performance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

PR & COMMUNICATIONS

  • Contribute towards the development, management and implementation of plans with PR & Communications aligned to the regional brands PR & Communications strategies
  • Co-define and manage the PR & Communications budget
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with national, regional, digital industry press and key influencers to increase brand reach & awareness
  • Deliver excellent media placements for new product launches as well as core products and brand building features across all media outlets
  • Pitch stories and develop alternate methods of outreach using creative mindset and tools such as spokespersons or counter openings etc to maximize opportunities and placements in the media for the brands
  • Work closely with Marketing, Online, Education, and Operational teams to organise assets and essential collateral to conduct local PR initiatives
  • Identify third party business opportunities and sponsorships that help drive awareness of the brands and help maximize business performance
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with retailer, ecommerce PR contacts to identify media and business opportunities
  • Seek and propose to the PR & Communications Director new brand partnerships that help drive awareness of our brands.

 

 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Manage the development of all public relations materials, including press releases, media alerts, newsletters, fact sheets, product launch recaps and presentations within agreed budget
  • Track, monitor and analyse brand performance and publicity in media outlets; execute internal communication of media placements to UK and Regional HQ teams
  • Disseminate PR & Communications strategy and objectives to wider team

 

 

PEOPLE

  • Manage and lead the Shiseido & CPB PR & Communications team to company and personal objectives, maintaining motivation and positivity.

 

PROFILE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Must have PR experience within beauty
  • Strong beauty editorial contacts and proof of past editorial results
  • Experience of cultivating key media and influencer relationships
  • Experience organising and managing events
  • Excellent communication skills required including writing and editing.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience of managing and influencing internal stakeholders
  • Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills to define ROI on PR activity
  • Passion and energy to support and communicate the brand ethos, philosophy and market positioning
  • Experience of working with retailers in department store channels, distributors and e-commerce channels
  • Experience of working with sponsorships and branding events
  • Working knowledge of industry trends
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment
