To act as the interface between the brand(s) and nominated National Accounts Groups, predominantly the QVC Account. To achieve agreed wholesale targets with various National Accounts through effective communication and implementation of strategic plans, and to maximise business to its full potential.

ORGANISATION

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

QVC ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT      

  • Being the primary contact for all aspects of the QVC business and QVC correspondence, ensuring all QVC processes are followed in a timely manner
  • Create a QVC Marketing calendar, actively proposing all new launches and kit configurations, including TSV and other promotional activity.   
  • Responsible for entire product assortment, from initial idea, forecasting, pricing, respecting margins, presenting to the buyer and securing air time.
  • Manage All Costs - Budget Tracker / Accruals / Monthly Finance P&L Meetings
  • Working with EMEA (supply chain) and demand planning to ensure all kits are created in a timely manner to meet the product launch planner time lines. 
  • Responsible for updating the product launch planner with all newness 12 months in advance. 
  • Actively identifying areas of risk and opportunity with the annual plan, using analysis of sales on and off air to seek opportunities, to further maximise sales. 
  • To support the on air guests on all aspects of the QVC business and maintain a high level of on and off air execution, work together on compelling stories and key demos to execute on-air.  (flexibility to attend and support all QVC shows, which may be required out of business hours)
  • Manage QVC’s sampling programmes to drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Monitoring competitor activations and aware of industry trends & proposing ways to ensure that we are one step ahead
  • Advise QVC of launch delays, coordinate movement of stock delivery, amendments of POs, any new POs to be raised
  • Contribute to EMEA monthly sales report with previous months results, capturing sales results, key takeaways and top ten SKU’s.
  • Lead and attend all (EMEA, Global and Germany Team meetings) related to QVC, being the voice and champion of the business, keeping teams informed of overall strategy and objectives.
  • Oversee and work collaboratively with the QVC Marketing Assistant

RETAIL AND WHOLESALE BUDGETS

  • Fully responsible for QVC P&L and OP Profit
    • Monthly monitoring with finance support, to ensure this is achieved        
  • To achieve agreed retail and wholesale targets within the allocated National Account Groups.
  • To monitor and forecast retail and wholesale performance for the allocated National Account Groups.
  • Develop and implement activities tailored to each allocated National Account Group as needed and directed to maximise business potential.

 

NATIONAL ACCOUNTS STRATEGY

  • To develop annual business plans for the nominated National Account Groups with a view to improve the brand’s performance.

 

STOCK AND EVENTS

  • To ensure smooth running of the stock replenishment processes and liaise with Operations team members accordingly.
  • To manage the correct par levels for each store within allocated National Account Groups and negotiating for increases where necessary.
  • To work with the retailer to ensure the optimum assortment  is in place to maximise sales within an open-sell environment. Maintaining retailer specific assortment files and order forms.
  • To successfully sell-in the Marketing Programmes to each of the allocated National Account Groups and maximise store support for these activities to ensure that targets are achieved.
  • To work with the Digital Expert to ensure online targets are achieved. To brief the Digital Expert on retailer specific requirements to ensure the Digital expert delivers the right assets to the NAM.
  • Assist with new launch forecasting for allocated National Account Groups.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

  • To provide effective communication and strong working relationships with each allocated National Account Group management team.
  • To ensure effective communication and co-ordinated activity between brand management and field sales team.
  • To encourage feedback from the Field Management relating in respect of the National Account Groups.
  • Be fully responsive to any urgent retailer needs.

 

OTHER

  • To seek improvement in operating efficiencies within the allocated National Account Groups with particular reference to stock replenishment systems.
  • To actively seek space and location improvements within the allocated National Account Groups and liaise with Senior Commercial Team to feed back any local opportunities. To report back immediately on any changes at local level that impede visibility and access to the counter.
  • To implement and complete projects as requested by the General Manager/Commercial Director.

 

PROFILE

  • Working knowledge of the UK cosmetics market and QVC
  • Demonstrable experience of brand marketing with involvement and understanding of the key marketing processes, such as:
  • Analysis and reporting of retail data
  • Budget co-ordination
  • Project management
  • Promotion and point of sale management
  • Evidence of having worked on multiple projects to completion, within short deadlines and budgets
  • Long-term planning abilities balanced with operational delivery experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of working collaboratively across multiple functions
  • Strong experience at National Account Manager level
  • Commercially aware & ability to drive business performance.
  • Experience in retail sales management within the National Account sector of the cosmetics industry.
  • Proven track record of managing wholesale sales within the National Account sector.
  • Able to manage time effectively and plan in contingencies to ensure targets are met.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, adaptable for delivery to a range of audiences.
  • Team player, ability to respond to rapidly changing demands.
  • Proficient at Excel.
  • Excellent planning & organisational skills.
