Reporting into the UK&I Country General Manager the Digital Director is  responsible for defining and leading strategies across all ecommerce touchpoints including online trading, digital, CRM and insights.

We are also growing fast in fragrance with brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Issye Miyake and Narciso Rodriguez as well as winning market share in Skincare with Shiseido and the recently spectacular launch of Cle de Peau Beaute in Harrods.  Drunk Elephant joins our portfolio in 2021 which supports our ambition and objective to be the Top5 Beauty Group in the UK.  Our clients include high-street retailers such as Department Stores, drugstores & chains as well as online pure players and specialty stores. We also have 8 boutiques and 3 direct e-commerce websites.

Job Location: Shiseido Group London Head Office

Contract type: Permanent




  • Define and lead the UKI digital vision and strategy across digital marketing, CRM, eCommerce, eRetail and technology
  • Lead, manage and develop the central digital team of ‘experts’ covering CRM, performance marketing, SEO and content
  • Provide vision, guidance and forums for sharing across local eCommerce and eRetail roles within the Divisions
  • Lead digital innovation initiatives and onsite / in-store beauty tech opportunities locally
  • Ensure all digital KPIs and best practice is shared and leveraged locally across all brands and Divisions
  • Lead and champion all UKI-wide local digital initiatives, training and up-skilling across the group
  • Key interface with EMEA eCommerce, eRetail and CRM teams and international media team on digital / performance media




  • Leadership experience across digital marketing, CRM and DTC eCommerce teams
  • CRM background across customer acquisition and retention and passionate about customer data desirable
  • Experience managing teams both directly and indirectly
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across global, regional and local teams in order to achieve cohesion
  • Ability to successfully prioritise projects and budgets
  • Proactive, pragmatic and analytical mindset
  • Positive, collaborative, can-do attitude
  • Experience leading digital upskilling and training desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
