YOUR NEXT ROLE : Consumer Insights & Data Analytics Coordinator

 

The Consumer Insights & Data Analytics Coordinator UK&I plays a pivotal leadership role within Shiseido UKI, responsible for shaping and driving the retail strategy across all brands in the portfolio.

 

This position supports the Commercial Director by leading the retail organisation with a focus on elevating customer experience, strengthening brand equity, and delivering exceptional commercial performance.

 

As the senior ambassador for retail excellence, the Head of Retail ensures that every store and counter reflects Shiseido’s luxury standards while empowering field teams to perform at their highest potential.

 

This is a permanent position, based in our fabulous UK Head office however will be expected to regularly travel around the UK&I to different store locations and retail locations.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As the Consumer Insights & Data Analytics Coordinator, every day will be diverse. This role requires a visionary leader who can balance strategic direction with operational execution, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration and building a high-performance retail culture. This role will focus on:

 

  • Coordinate and manage agencies’ deliverables and services, ensuring the work meets high-quality standards (Circana, Euromonitor, Kantar, Mintel, Nielsen Media Spends etc)
  • From Circana Beauty Market: analyse brand performance, competitors, and market trends, pulling research into one report with key takeaways sent to all teams every month
  • Analyse recent consumer trends in the beauty industry and on social, build a report with actionable insights and coordinate internal monthly competitive forum
  • Build strong relationships with the commercial team, understand the retailer strategy cross-functionally, and upskill national account managers in retailer data analysis (Boots + HUT Group ) to highlight brand opportunities and to help them build data-driven narratives for key meetings
  • Understand our key audiences at the retailers giving direction to activation team on audience strategy for retailer media activations to grow our category share, report back on audience migrations as a result of these activations
  • Build strong relationships with marketing teams to enhance brand positioning and market presence through in-depth analysis of consumer trends and market data, and deliver actionable recommendations to support the decision-making process
  • Support the Head of Data, Media and Insights on ad hoc research (audiences, decision journey, brand perception…)
  • Support roll out of attribution model on direct to consumer website and ongoing reporting of full funnel determining which marketing channels contributed to conversion. Give direction to digital team on most effective budget balance to improve campaigns. 
  • Serve as the voice of the shopper and consumer internally and externally
  • Collaborate with Finance and senior management to align on category forecast and produce and update market and retail landscape presentations (Townhall, budget meetings, Global visits)

Skills and experience

  • Experience in performance in consumer insights and market research in agency or client-side
  • Experience with market and/or consumer panels (Circana, Nielsen, IRI, Kantar…) is essential
  • Highly analytical and numerate with great attention to detail and critical reasoning skills
  • Experience in turning data into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on, open-minded, and proactive
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple stakeholders and simultaneous priorities
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, working cross-functionally with marketing, commercial and digital teams
  • Curious to learn (ad’hoc research, retail, media, digital, social)
