The Commercial Finance Analyst will be part of Commercial Finance team with close working relationship with the Commercial Finance Controllers.

Act as a finance business partner to all brands providing important insight on trading performance.

Work closely with the business to deliver and document the annual budget and three-year strategic plan, identifying area for growth and efficiency.

Work with non-finance to add value from a commercial perspective and optimise business performance

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Play an important role in delivering budget and forecasting cycles across the brands
  • Deliver regular forecasts that accurately predict performance based on key trends and drivers
  • Creating a “high challenge, high support” culture whereby the analyst acts as the key business partner and commercial support
  • Identify issues impacting delivery of the forecast, across all aspects of the P&L, and work with both the business and the Commercial Finance Controllers to identify mitigation plans



  • Deliver management reporting for the business which will need to be accurate, timely and actionable
  • Responsible for the Month-end process which includes preparing accruals, submitting journals, validating financial records and Balance sheet reconciliation for relevant accounts



  • Work closely with the Commercial Finance Controllers in providing key insight and identifying emerging trends on business performance
  • Develop a business mindset and act as sounding board to the Commercial Finance Controllers and other members of the business outside of finance.  
  • Use financial modelling to help shape business decisions and drive strategic conversations




  • Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) or by experience
  • Team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment
  • Experience of working in a commercial finance function of a large company or FMCG
  • Good understanding of full P&L (revenue and expenses) and BS
  • Experience of complex analysis in a commercial business environment
  • Experience of building strong and successful relationships across multiple functions within a business
  • Strong modelling capability and the experience of developing mid and long term financial models
