Business and Consumer Analyst 

 

MISSION 
Reporting to the Head of Consumer and Insights, you will collaborate with marketing teams and national account managers to drive data-led decision-making through all available market, category, consumer, and shopper insight resources to uncover growth opportunities and enhance brand positioning.

  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Analyse weekly in-house sell-out data (PowerBI) alongside monthly brand performance reporting with benchmarks against competitors through external retail panels (Circana Market+ Boots data) 

  • Support PowerBI experts to develop impactful data visualization reporting  

  • Coordinate and manage agencies’ deliverables and services to ensure high-quality standards (Circana, Euromonitor, Kantar, Mintel…) 

  • Produce and update regular market and retail landscape presentations (Townhall, budget meetings, Global visits) 

  • Build strong relationships with Sales teams, providing training in data analysis and highlighting brand opportunities with their retailers. Provide data-driven recommendations to influence range, e-merchandising, targeting and pricing strategies through tools like Profitero, Similarweb and consumer database platforms. 

  • Partner with Marketing teams with consumer behaviour, competitive activity, category, and social trends’ monitoring to inform strategy and short-term opportunities 

  • Collaborate with Finance and senior management to align on an annual category forecast, to build a 5-year vision 

  • Support the Head of Data, Media and Insights on ad hoc research (audiences, decision journey, brand perception…) 

  • Serve as the voice of the shopper and consumer internally and externally 

  • Build strong relationships with the sales teams, understand retailer strategy cross-functionally, and upskill national account managers in data analysis to highlight brand opportunities and to help them build data-driven narratives for top-to-top meetings with key partners. Especially with Boots  

  • Build strong relationships with marketing teams to enhance brand positioning and market presence through in-depth analysis of consumer trends and market data and deliver actionable recommendations to support the decision-making process.  

  • Use shopper insights, consumer profile, customer satisfaction, category trends and quantified analysis on past activities performance to influence distribution, range, merchandising, pricing, audience targeting and promotional plans 

  • Analysing competitors and market trends, pulling research into one report that is sent to all teams every month 

  • Analyse, report and communicate the recent trends in consumer behaviour, Beauty industry and social media and coordinate internal competitive forum/workshops 

  • Coordinate and manage agencies’ deliverables and services, ensuring the work meets high quality standards (Circana, Euromonitor, Kantar, Mintel…, etc.). 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • Senior professional with demonstrable performance in consumer insights and market research in agency or client-side 

  • Experience with market and/or consumer panels (Circana, Nielsen, IRI, Kantar…) is essential 

  • Highly analytical and numerate with great attention to detail and critical reasoning skills 

  • Experience in turning data into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations.  

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros), Power BI, and PowerPoint. 

  • Hands-on, open-minded, and proactive  

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills 

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple stakeholders and simultaneous priorities  

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, working cross-functionally with marketing and commercial teams. 

  • Curious to learn (ad’hoc, media, digital, social)
